Two weeks while squatting wide, i strained the top of my quad. I don't know the exact terminology, so i'll describe the best i can.

The pain is at the very top of the front of my leg where the muscle meets the hip. I can press in that area and it hurts...perhaps i strained a tendon or ligament.

I squatted yesterday for first time, and it definately hindered my workout. What should I do?

ice 15 min 3-4 times per day
ibuprofen (880mg 3 times per day) or alieve (500mg 2 times per day)
gently stretch your quad 3-4 times per day- no pain with your stretch, only stretch sensation
light squatting. don't worry about the weight. it will come back quickly. just get healed up
