I had lower back pain for about 3 months and it healed for a month or so now. I don't want to start DLing and Squatting yet, because i feel my back is weak. Also, i am running hard everyday so i don't want my lower back exercises to work out my legs as well. Therefore, can you guys recommend me any exercises that workout my lower back, but not my legs? Thanks for the help

Pull Throughs and back extensions come to mind...

What are your goals? If you're running everyday I'm guessing its not strength, so aesthetics, distance running?

I am running to basically lose fat and gain some stamina before the football season starts for my high school. I tried lifting with running, but it didn't work because i was in extreme pain.

Stretch your hamstrings prior to any excercise. There are plenty of good stretches out there, but I am partial to wall-leans, butterflys, and bodyweight sumo-stanced toe-touches.
Hamstring flexiblity is the key in alleviating lower back problems, when they are tight, you overcompensate by bending and over-using your low back.

I don't think distance running every day is beneficial for football anyway. But strength training is. I'd look into restructuring your workout plan for sure. I would think 3 days of lifting, 2 of sprinting, and 1 distance day would be a good start.

You need to do squats and deadlifts. Work in some goodmornings and hyperextensions. you run to much I use to run as much as that but that was because I was in the army and because I ran so much it caused back problems. You don't have to deadlift 500 lbs on your first attempt just take your time and build your strength. But most people here are going to tell you to do deadlifts and squats. Stop running so much unless you plan on running for competition.
