Jesse,

Hey man, I would like to fly up there from SoCal and train with you and your team for a day or two sometime this year. Would that be feasible? I usually train with Odd but it would be a great learning experience to train with you as well.

Is this the heaviest you've ever been? You look much bigger now than I've seen you on the tube.

Holla at your boy about your diet. I carry 300+ pretty easy but no where near the muscularture that you have. Help a brotha out! :)

Big Mac, one word brother, CLEAN FOOD. OK that's two words. I eat 2-3 pounds of GRASS FED BEEF every day. I also eat fish on a daily basis. I prefer atlantic Salmon. I also drink 2-3 Muscle Milk shakes daily.

When gaining agressively I add yogurt and bananas to my shakes for the added suger and eat one plate of pasta daily. I also drink a gallon of whole milk and add up to 10 table spoons of flax oil daily. Work up to 10 tbs slowly or you'll upset your guts.

When leaning out I drop the flax oil and yogurt and back off the carbs by about 30%. I increase my beef and fish consumption to as much as I can possibly consume.

Eating like this for the last 12 months has added 20 pounds of lean muscle to my frame. I also credit a more intelligent training regime and a much improved training facility as well. My training has been going very well. But the proper nutrition has been the main reason for my increased size and strength.

I weigh 316 in the above pics and videos and realistically don't see myself weighing 330 at the level of BF that I desire for another 2 years. I would like to be around 10% at 330. But when I get close that number may change up or down. It's all about performance, so I will have to make adjustments as I plod forward.

Mac, I recomend you try the beef bro. It's no joke. It is the most performance enhancing substance on the planet and I promise you after eating 2 pounds a day for 60 days in a row you will be stronger and leaner. I've yet to see GRASS FED beef disapoint anyone.

Jon got me to eating more meat every day. I can't get beef here so I eat fresh ground pork every day. 2-3 pounds minimum. I mix it with 5 small potatoes, few mushrooms, an onion, and some oregano and cook it all together in our WOK...lol. Love it...

Adding in the large amounts of meat has helped me with size and strength for the past several weeks.

Thanks Jesse. Sorry I just got a chance to respond. I've been out of town with work yesterday. I'm placing my first beef order on friday (payday). Thanks for the advice as I look forward to grilling all that meat. Living here in Sin City (Vegas, Baby!), I can Q pretty much all year round. Don't know how much I wanna weigh, but I'm definately going to get my bf% down. I think 315 sounds good with about 10-15% sounds good. I'm not as tall as you (I'm 6'3 versus your 6'5) so I think 315 is better for me. I've been as heavy as 323 in the past, but it just didn't feel right.

Clint, thanks for the additional advice. Married to Hawaiian girl, I eat plenty of pork. And being Black, I eat plenty of chicken!LOL! (If we can't laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at?). But I think if I can get plenty 2-3lbs of meat a day (combining the three), I should be nice and strong and pretty lean also.

Jesse, I just recieved my first order of muscle milk, so I'll be loading up on the protein also. I can't weight... I mean, I can't wait.

Jesse,

when I looked on the Grass Fed beef website, it seems that the lowest fat beef is a higher percentage than what you can buy in the store.

Are there any worries about increases in cholesterol, etc when on this type of high meat intake diet? Do you have your levels checked? I am naturally kind of high in both my cholesterol and kidney levels, and am not sure what this type of diet could do to me.

but your weight and strength gains sound very appealing to me...just want to make sure I won't do anytihng to myself.

very good questions. actually, Grassfed Beef has bout 30% more protein by weight than grain fed. A grassfed cow is 1200 pounds and 5 years old when it is butchered. It's a lean and healthy animal. Grain fed cattle are 2000 pounds and 2 years old.

the following articles discuss in more detail the difference between the two beasts.

Health Benefits of CLA (http://www.marunde-muscle.com/articles/cla_health_benefits.html)
I get my blood work done twice a year. I got it done right before I started eating grassfed beef and 9 months after. My total cholestrol went down from 150 to 100. I am of the opinion that diet can only effect your cholestrol by abouyt 15-30%. So I can't explain the dramatic change in my own cholestrol except to say that the beef really did make that much of a difference. I'll be honest and admit that I am skeptical however because I just can't beleive that my cholestrol went DOWN after eating 3 pounds of red meat daily.

Thanks Jesse. I have another question. Not trying to be annoying, just asking because of my own health reasons. Did you change anything major in your eating regimant when you went to the 3 lb grass fed beef diet (i.e. did you eat like crap before, then changed everything up, or were you eating well, and then added in the beef)

I am going to order some and keep my progress with my doctor. I will let everyone know of any significant changes in my blood/cholesterol levels.
