hey gang a quick question for everyone..i am competiting on Saturday April 23rd .. my training has been going well.. I am going to hit it hard today and friday... and then??? i was thinking of doing a 90 percent effort dry run of the events on sunday and then do a nice light "pump and strech out" session on the tuesday and then that was it..In the past i have shut it down usually 5 days before the event and just went to the gym and streched out ... i have been pretty happy with the results come event day but i am always looking to get better.. what does everyone else do the week before a show??should i shut it down early or go all out right up to the show..

I am going to do Log and tire and perhaps a lighter squat work out this weekend followed by brief light worout on Monday. Then that will be all til the 23rd. Maybe a treadmill walk tuesday and thursday. I figure I am not going to build anymore strength between now and next weekend... But I could get hurt if I went too heavy. I think your plan sounds good!

I shut it down 7-10 days out and usually show up vibrating and grinding me teeth until I can f-ing lift something :eek:
