anyone else get extemely sore achilies tendons after a farmers walk or yoke walk training session? besides the obvious ice bath for the foot, what other things have you done to help?

thanks,

Ryan

stretch your calves and hamstrings, if they get tight it usually causes the soreness. Also do some Ballet i heard it helps :EL:

What's that saying...it takes a real man to wear pink, but it takes a tough man to make that man cry!

Stretch, heat, repeat homeboy.

Are you flat footed ? People who are flat footed put more stress on the achilles tendon.

Good point Jesse. Ryan, you ever get sore when you're doing olympic lifting in your OL shoes. If not, maybe the elevated heel is why. What do you wear on your feet when you train strongman?

yes i am very flat footed jesse....good point! and clay i never did get sore achilies tendons during my o lift training so maybe it was the heel. now training strongman, i am usuallyk wearing a pair of hiking boots....which are flat.

well looks like something i will just keep stretching and keep up with the ice and heat. nothing i can do about being flat footed....right?
