During my last OHP session I strained both biceps to the point where after the workout I experienced severe pain. I iced the hell out them and I'm just a little sore a couple days afterwards. Anyone have any ideas why this happened? Could it be an imbalance between my tricep strength and bicep strength, similar to those with lower back problems because of weak abdominals? Thanks!

impossible to diagnos over the internet.
but here are some ideas as to why it happened:
1) weak rotator cuff muscles are not exhibiting a downward pull on the humerus as the arm goes overhead, creating the bicep tendon to get impinged.
2) overactive or tight lats altering movement at the scapula and changing the position of the humerus within the joint causing the bicep tendon to get pinched.
3) stronger triceps which are overpowering the biceps at lockout creating a strain in the biceps everytime it has to decelerate for elbow extension at lock.
could be a lot of things really. like I said, over the internet it is all speculation.
rest and ice.

If you buy a couple of beers at the Pimp N Ho I will test you for muscle imbalances and work on your clean form! lol kidding. There is alot of possibilities to cause the pain you described but I will see what we can do when I get there.

like patrick said, impossible to diagnose over the internet, but I'm inclined to think option 3.
functional strength athletes run into this problem a lot. Big problem with boxers, for example.
I used to screw up my biceps and brachioradialis a lot because i was skullcrushing 148 for reps and single hand reverse grip pulldown 110, but could only strict dumbbell curl 65.
which is a recipe for trouble.
I stepped up my biceps training a ton and layed off the triceps for a while, and bam injury free.
I was one of about 4 guys who ran into this problem in our boxing club
But like patrick said, speculation in your case.
