anyone had to deal with this before? How do you know if you're pushing too hard?
almost 9 years ago, I had a bad reaction to a hepatitis shot. Damaged every nerve in my right arm. Some muscles were more affected than others. I still trained and played sports for the next 7 years, but my senior year of college I think i plateaued what the damaged and atrophied muscles were capable of...which was still plenty. Hammercurl 85s, skull crush 148 for 5. But I kept straining and pulling things.
But 22 is just too young to be a 'coulda been', so I'm trying for a come back in rowing, and probably amateur strongman in the 200lb weight class. I just started training again and am some ways off from my old levels so I'm not at that constant re-injury point yet.
But i'm sure some of yall have to deal with things like that. HOw do you know when your pain tolerance is higher than what your body is capable of and when to back off?
