I was just wondering how evryone flavored up their ground beef or ground turkey. I usually buy a 95-5 extra lean ground beef and I'll either use a packet of taco seasoning or I will use onion flakes salt pepper and garlic powder. Sometimes I will mix it with scrambled eggs and put salsa on it and either eat it or throw it on a fajita. I was just trying to get some new idea.
Also, I noticed the Grassland website on the boards and I plan on checking it out, I just got a bad mental picture on what the hell I am eating with store bought beef.

I like dried chipotle powder, mixed with plenty of garlic, chili powder and cumin for beef. For ground poultry I go asian, with chinese 5 spice, garlic powder, fresh ginger, chili oil and fish sauce.
I use Everglades seasoning on just about everything

J's fav is Montreal Steak seasoning, or i slap on some jalipino artichoke costco dip...
Callie
One easy way to make a simple meal is
brown 2lbs grassland beef with s&p garlic clove or salt
add 1 can tomaoes or salsa
add 1 can drained corn
1 can split olives
1/4 c soy sauce
add desired amt of rice (no more then 1 cup)
add a llitle less water then rice calls for
cover and simmer until rice is done
about 45 min!!!
its quick to make and you can count on leftovers

I agree with Callie, McCormicks Montreal Steak Seasoning is a favorite at my house, we but it in bulk. Also, Cavenders is good, it is a greek seasoning, better on chicken than beef though.

Thanks for the replies so far. Callie, I am going to try that, I am always looking for casserole-type ideas to combine protein-carbs-fat into one easy to shovel in meal.

Grassland ground beef eats like steak man! sometimes I just grub down a pound of it with salt, pepper and ketchup. I melt cheese on it sometimes too. you gotta try the Grassland ground beef, it's nothing like store bought. WAY better.
