Lol umm yea basically i was working out and i tore something in my shoulder/back about a 1 1/2month ago. Itrs really tight now I got full strength but sometimes at lockouts on OHP it pinches a nerve or something and pulls down where it was hurt.
Well today Doing shoulders and triceps where i injured it went numb during shoulders, that was fine didnt bother me. During triceps My whole freakin hand went numb then it settled down to just my pinky and pinky side of my forarm.
So something happend with my brachial plexus nerve anyone got any ideas? It still a little numb 2hours later but not as much. Tricep and back is reallly tight too.

nerve tissue is highly irritable. GENTLY start doing some neural stretches.
Lie on your back on your bed
bring your arm out to the side (keep your elbow bent)
extend your elbow
turn your palm up to the ceiling
extend your wrist
side bend your head away
turn your head away
3x30sec holds
this is for the median nerve
you are having tension on the ulnar nerve but I would start with this one
you won't feel much or even anything but remember nerves are highly irritable. you shouldn't stretch a nerve like you would a hamstring

I think the problem is up the line a bit in your cervical spine. I have experienced both brachial plexus irritation and impingement of the nerve at the spine. What you described sounds like the latter to me. Actually I am currently having trouble with the same thing.
All I can say is that chiropractic care is the only thing helping me right now. That, and when I lift, I try to keep a neutral position in my neck. It's hard to do with log presses and farmer's walk though!!
I hurt my shoulder about a month ago doing OHP's and my fingers went numb. I gave it a week or so and my shoulder healed up, but my fingers still go numb here and there. I guess it was just some nerve damage.

i slept on my shoulder wrong one night and woke up to my whole arm numb and then my pinkie was numb for about 3 days
another time i played a 5 minute game of mercy with a guy at the station and the same thing happened but it lasted for 4 days
If its the worst injury you've had then your blessed, keep training hard and welcome to the heavyweights!

Oh i found out what it was everyone, it was unlar nerve entrapment, very minor of course. Would get entraped at the elbow and cause some pain and numbness.
Im sure we all felt this, happens alot when u sleep on your arm with it bent and u wake up and its in Pain and wont move. Yea tahts what happend COOL AINT IT!!
