WSM marathon on ESPN Classic now

WSM marathon on ESPN Classic now. 2001 I think. With Pfister, Svend, Samuelson. My favorite part is when Pfister says he's going to win it for America while doing the Hec hold. Badass.

I wish I had cable/satelite. Then I wouldn't have to rely on friends tivoing it for me.

Will they ever officially release them on dvd? I would gladly buy those.

I just wish the ESPN Classic that we got in the UK was the same as the US one, as oppossed to showing random soccer games from 20 years ago... [sigh]

Ours isnt much better here in the US. Its usually random boxing matches from 10 years ago. They have been showing WSM lately to buildup WSM 2006 I think

We were getting lots of Strongman earlier in the year on ESPN Classic, but nothing after the 2001 finals (I think, the year Svend Karlsen won?). Recently there's been nothing. Last strongman I saw on UK TV in fact was the Mohegan Sun event from 2005 on Eurosport. I hadn't seen it before so that was good to see, but still... so much more from this year that hasn't been shown in the UK yet.

I was in the UK in march and I loved your ESPN classic. I saw WSM 83 and 84 and it was so clear, way better than the broadcasts we get in north america. There is also less commercials so I saw parts that i have never seen before. And the commercials are good anways, the crazy frog, can't get enough of him.

Yeah, we do get a lot less ads over here. The first time I watched Canadian / US TV I nearly went mad with all the commercial breaks.

But the Crazy Frog? Trying hearing that ten or fifteen times a day for 6 months and then tell me how much you like him.
