Anyone know whatever happened to this guy? He was/is a :F: But it really has my boys fired up. My oldest who competes now is 15 and 5'3" my youngest who wants to compete is 13 and 4'10" Stumpy has now given them both a big boost to their self confidence. I would love to know where he is now and if he is still competing.

I dont know what happened to him. I do know that there is no substitute for strength though.

I agree yet there are people who say that there are events they would have a hard time doing because of their hieght. I disagree they can do any thing they set their minds to.

I was reading an English strongman forum a little while back and someone posted that Stumpy had retired from competition.

No word on whether it was completely voluntary, for health reasons, to pursue other goals, etc.

I watched him compete in WSM 2001 on TV today myself ... freaky strength on some events.

Neat to see him deadlift 728 pounds (to win his heat) like it was a warmup weight.

I remember seeing him in the WSM a few years back in the atlas stones.....not only could he barely reach the top of the platform, but he was using his chin to push it up! :F: ...it was awesome! :KD:
