I'm building a new loading platform it will be four place with different heights. What should I do for the heights? I was thinking 46/50/54/58 but not sure.

If it were me I would go a couple inches higher on each one 60/56/52/48, thats just me though :BB:

that was my second choice, I'm in the middle of making it unsure what I want and I'm thinking I might do this.

Pete,
With your height, this would be a good choice for you.

I have a feeling you'll do much better next year, after fully rehabbing your injuries and gaining more strength than you had before the injuries.

If you're doing WI, build them short, those guys tend to be short out there and like loading to shorter platforms!
:M:
Seriously though, 60-48" is probably the best for 4 platforms.

If it's not too late, I would throw one up at 68" or 72". It makes the lower platforms feel easier and helps you learn how to shoulder and load stones to high platforms.

must be nice to have sasquatch in your ancestory!
if space is an issue, the power rack platrom works great and you can change the height.....just cant run a stone series which sucks! i have used mine for all my stone training and it hasnt budged a bit.

remember..that you can always make a lil' 2'x2' "block" to set ontop of your stones platform to raise it an additional 4".
I have a 49" 2x2 platform, then an 8' long 54" platform..so if I wanna go higher I just place a block I made from 2x4's and plywood on top and screw it in place to hold it..
it's always easier to go higher...
or you could raise the whole platform if you want...temporarily...just put something under the legs of the platform...

Geez, why don't all you just go compete in the little girl's division?? hahaha
I recommend the 6' platform because the tougher contests like Central USA had a platform that high. I think they had one that high in Hawaii as well. If you're going to eventually compete against the big dogs, might as well train like one now.
And Ryan, my parents were 6'0 and 6'1 and over 240lbs. Mom ran track and Dad was an amateur bodybuilder who liked to lift heavy. Strongman was an obvious choice.

I framed up a 48/52/56/60 last night, I was hoping to finnish it tonight but my son has a football game so I'll have to work on it again tomarrow. I was thinking that I might make a tall single box that I could double up for storage.

Hey Clay, my mother is 6'1" and my dad was 6'0". He weighted about 225 and I thought that was big. I'm also 6'6" 275 looking to be around 300.
