Just talking with a couple of my friends and I decided to call out Dan Harrison.

Why, well why not I like to get things interesting.

I'm tiried of hearing how he is going to "blow" through town, cut throats and and rape and pillage . . . For once I would like not to hear about how well you think you are going to do and just show up at a contest and compete.

Nationals is only a few weeks away, I don't think you will finish top 10. I'll be there as a loader and spectator. Any problems shoot me a pm.

So you're calling him out but you're not competing against him?

Did I read that right?

edit

Me grammar not so good

If they don't remove this I'd be surprised...

...since they deleted a amicable debate about WSW and the possibilities of it gaining any popularity and exposure.

NO he's calling him out and not competeing against him. And that makes no sense.

What I don't understand is why he offers up his phone number on a public forum???

i cant believe he would do that you think he would of sent him a private message with the number. i will hate to see his phone bill after dan sees this.

The reason the wsw posts were deleted were because one of the board rules were broken, and I will leave this up until Dan has a chance to see it.

I apologize in the past for lacking humility, and i have learned many lessons about that this season even though I have also had some great successes as well as learning experiences. I look at every contest as a war(as do most guys) and I just like to speak of shows as such. I feel bad that Eric felt the need to embarass me on the open forum, but if I do not do well at nationals, it will not be for lack of effort or desire.

Congrats again Eric on winning your card back in Indiana, that is the big goal for me right now and I cannot wait to join you and the others on the pro circuit.

Just to set the record straight, HE DID compete against him a couple of months ago. That is when Eric got his PRO card. I would say that speaks enough.

I guess some people can't seem to understand that your pillaging and raping comments are off the cuff and simply vocalize your excitement for your upcomming contest. I see no harm in that and frankly I find those comments funny and full of character. Judging by your posts I am sure your quite respectfull of your competitors on game day, but there's no harm in playing mind games too :M:

So keep pillaging away, sooner or later you'll come up with what you've worked for. You've gotten very close this year!

I know sometimes it can be discouraging to see younger guys than you that compete where you want to be (Nee and Thigpen come to mind in this case for you). We have our own resident freak Louie-Phillipe Jean in Canada who is 22 and should be at WSM if he wasn't invited this year. He's got the whole package and a grip that would blow 90% of the world class guys (regardless of federation) out of the water. He narowly edged me out by a few points at best at every contest this year. Some people bloom faster than others so keep your head high and keep plugging away. I envy his talent, but he's my friend and I am happy for him, I even went to our Nationals to encourage him throughout the show even though originally I wanted to purposly avoid the show because I failed to qualify for it this year.

As an outsider looking in, I could not agree more with this statement. I personally think Dan and his comments are, at the very least, funnier than hell. I guess some people just cannot detect the sarcasm.

Dan's remarks are always dripping with sarcasm....

he talks big..but it's in a sarcastic...manner...
he is truly a great competitor...and has had some spectacular contests...he has also had some real tough breaks as well...

I don't know if anyone knows..but his trip to wisconsin was a fiasco....canceled planes..etc..(i don't know all the details, but apparently..he didn't arrive until the morning of the contest)..or something like that...
and I don't recall if he ever mentioned that ..or used it as an excuse....

soon...danny boy...you will come away with that pro card..
just keep the eye on the prize...

and I love a good cat fight too...hehehe...

I don't know you Dan but I wouldn't apologize for who you are. I love the sport of strongman and I also love the comradery we all have but sometimes I get tired of everybody being so nice. I think a little trash talk and stirring things up a bit might be good for the sport. If you’re the guy that does that then so be it.

Why didn't you call Dan out before the Central Pro-Am where you and he competed against each other? Is one of those friends you were talking to competing against Dan at Nationals?

The callouts are fine, rivalries are good. But if you aren't even competing against him it makes no sense unless you a messing around. Judging by Dan's response I would guess that is probably not the case however.

I hardly ever post, but I can't resist on this one. Can't you guys recognize a little friendly bantering when you see it? Hammer's only trying to motivate big Dan. I've only met him once, but Hammer seems like a darn good guy - freaky strong too. He's already a Pro and that is why he won't be competing in Louisville. Lighten up.

ClayEdgin

I wouldn't say Dan is classy. He's kind of a goober. He knows this.

I say we need to have a little side bet going here. Hammer, you in? If Dan cracks the top 10 at Nationals, you post a picture of yourself wearing a tutu and NSync shirt. And a tiara. If not, then.....?

This thread is so cute. I feel like calling some people on this board out for nationals too. See if they can compete against 250lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal...... Brugal, where you at? Beers.. i'd call you out, but you are getting married. Marriage or strongman? sucker... Harrison.. I'll call you out in advance for the hell or it. Tornado vs sex appeal. What's up ladies. And to whoever else is on this board that i have competed against. Heck, I may even throw on the trusty speedos just for willie when I do the stones. Then I'll jump on stage and compete in the bb section that night. I'm not a pillager, more of a lover who doe strongman once a month but i'll still call you pansies out

Hammer is a strong freak and for all that know him would agree. Props to anyone who gets a pro card their first time around. Unfortunately his girl smokes his ass when is come to the alcoholic section.
P.S. I also heard next time Harrison competes against you, He's going to eat you alive, your first born and 2 of mike tyson illegitimates. That's some serious thunder.

Forgot to call out BEN MOORE!!.
But i'm not. i'm just going to accept being a brides maid for a 3rd, 4th? whatever straight time.
For those who dont know ben moore. His wife just had a second baby and it was rumored that Ben MOORE repped out a 300ld log for 5 reps inbetween his wife contractions. That's fricken unbelievable.

Eric Hammer

My gosh,

this went the opposite direction I thought it would go. Guys like Tully, Vince Decker, Barabas understood what this thread was going for, and that is sarcasm and a little bantering as we approach nationals. To all that took it the other way, I apologize but lighten up a bit. Dan is on the board all the time talking about viking this and viking that, so why can't we screw around with him a bit. I have no problem with him as a competitor, he is very focused, energetic and enthusiastic towards his efforts and that how a competitor should be. So lighten up!

I was planning on calling out Ben Moore, D. Kirby, Barabas and others as the time gets closer and closer to nationals but I won't anymore because everyone is so damn sensitive.

Jim Glassman, I'm sorry you think I am a tool for joking around and having some fun.

I think this incident all stemmed from garrick daft making a tribute video to dan and hammer got jealous. Hammer deserves his own 9 minute..errr 10 min (he's a pro) tribute video. So the blame falls onto garrick daft

Your a freakin homo, you know those kids who do the spelling bee on espn are the REAL athletes!!!!! I'm in the works of puting together an adults pro federation but you have to compete fully clothed. No speedos!

Finally the only hamer you need to worry about is the one I'm gonna drop on your sweet hinee!!!! You just awoke a sleeping BEAST. And even if I get smoked I'll still have a speedo showdown with you!! I like my speedos tiny!!!

Unfortunately the original post didn't come across as sarcastic bantering. It seemed pretty serious, which explains the rather harsh responses you received. It's pretty hard to indicate sarcasm in a written post. I think if you had included a smiley or two your intent would have been much clearer.

Dan is a great guy and a strong mo fackie.

Dan, this is what you should belt out when you win your PRO CARD...........

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

And do not forget this one my friend...............

Conan, what is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

I think Scott may have a point if not I hope Dan uses it to fuel his fire.Maybe Eric is just messing with him, trying to get him fired up a little. Whys it Ok for Dan to talk smack and no one else, in jest or not. Either way Ill be glad to see all of you in Louisville, after I lead us in prayer Circle we will sing Kumbaya(SP?) together.

Everyone loves him, but I still think Dan is a shmuck. Mainly because I out press him with ease when it comes to water filled kegs and a parallel grip.
