Everyone competed one week ago except for me, but I feel like I did from moving all the equipment! Had a kick butt workout today. Seated arm over aqrm pull for two HEAVY sets. Farmers walk two sets to failure in the 150-200 foot range. Axle work up to heavy singles for a couple sets. Tire flip x8-12 fast reps. And finally a sick azz stone session.

Breck competed last week in his first show with only one strongman workout under his belt. He rocked the house. today he dominated the rocks and finally loaded a 240 in succession at under 200 bodyweight.

Tim mashed a 312 easily.

Jacob, who says he wants to powerlift instead of doing strongman, is a FREAK. 20 years old, 6'5" and 270 pounds. He loaded a 305 no tacky like it was a pebble. insane... he's built like a young Phister. Huge hands; excelent farmers walker. His axle and log technique is advanced as well. This guy could be pro material if he wanted to. But alas... he's rather powerlift.... he's pulled an official 612 I beleive. I forget his bench. Long arms though...

Awesome, what do typical workouts look like for you guys?

the one described above is pretty typical. alot of thought goes into every workout. we take almost an hour setting everything up so that the training is as perfect as we can make it. we spend hours during the week making/fixing equipment and getting everythingready.

Yes I am a powerlifter - thanks for pointing that out Jesse. :)
I look forward to next Saturday and seeing Tim prance around on his toes while reciting "I'm a powerlifter" in his well done, well practiced girls' voice.

hmm.... he seems a little too 'practiced' at the feminine impression doesn't he? Also note that Tim has done TWO strongman contests but has trained for powerlifting since you were 8 years old... haha

Hey guy

I'll be in Men's open heavyweights (231-265) but i'll be at the upper end of that weight class...

Jesse, I'll have to forgoe my trip up to washington to train with you because 1) I can't afford it and 2) I'll be there at Odd's over Labor day weekend with you, Glassman, and Jon Anderson. Good times.

I intend to kill with much power and hatred in seattle, and it'll be great to see Jesse again and to meet his band of thieves
