--i read that first place for wsm is $40,000 this year-?--if this is correct-?--does anyone know the pay for 2nd,3rd,4th,5th?--
-is there compensation for qualifying--and being in top 10-?-

Man, 40,000 ? Its a goodchunk of change but i think the title of "worlds strongest Man" should earn alot more than that..... Hopefully in time

it's a good chunk of change..but it's only one contest...once a year...so...in light of that....it's not alot...although..you can supplement that with sponsors, other shows...and guest appearances and the like...

then again...it's a helluva alot more these days then back in the early 90's..so that's a good sign...

--it really isn't much money for such a 'title'--for the work involved--for the difficulty and danger of participating---for the pain---and for the ammount of tv time it generates--

on the other hand--- not a bad payday-for the winner----and--40K probably goes further in the former eastern bloc countires --than it does in usa--

Oh i know, but hopefully when the sport get's more popular the prizes would be better

--the arnold is still the best pay day--a hummer h2+$16,000 cash +some other odds and ends+jewlery on year---unless this has changed
but second place in the arnold dips down to $15,000-?--not bad--$12,000 for 3rd and on down--

--big z's garage must be pretty full--although i understand he sells the hummer h2 off ---in the states-?-
