View Full Version : Pulled nerve
So I was doing heavy shrugs tonight to finish off the workout and all of the sudden felt and heard a rip/pop in the back left side of my neck. Man it hurts. I have to move it extremely slow to keep it from hurting. I'm positive that it's just a nerve because it has happened before. What do you guys do to combat the pain? I know it feels good when I get anything warm on it because it relaxes a little.
This pisses me off because I've been making awesome progress lately. It seems like something is always trying to hold you back. :mad:

I kept getting the same sort of thing in my neck from shrugs turned out to be that my lower back was out, which in turn was pulling my neck out. The shrugs just made it do the pop thing.
i recommend seeing a remedial massage therapist, i wouldnt be right without one.
That kind of worries me because my lower back has felt 'out of whack' for a couple of months now. When I stretch before lifting it cracks and pops like crazy. Sometimes when I lay down I have pain my lower back until it 'adjusts' (for lack of a better term) which can take up to 5 minutes. Any ideas?
Just a quick update. My neck has healed up pretty well. I'd say 80% right now. I did some back and shoulder stuff last night and it felt alright. I'd say it will be 100% by mid-week.
