Just thought I would say hello ... I came across your site on another board and thought I would check it out. I'm glad I did!
A little about myself - 32 years old, 6'5" - 330lbs, former college discus thrower, tried bodybuilding in early 90's and didn't like it much, fell in love with powerlifting and then was turned on to strongman (only about 2 years ago). I have just acquired most of the strongman equipment over the past year, and I can't stop lifting them - is there a support group out there - ha ha. I am married and have a son (Jake - 3yrs old) and we are expecting our 2nd in April.
Jesse - my question for you is ... Do you train mostly in the weight room and increase your event training as you approach a contest, or do you just keep a mix of both gym time and event training year round?
