Hi Jesse

It's very cool of you to have a forum as good as this one. I'm a new member( my real name is Chris Dardin) and just wanted to say hello and let you know you and Magnus Ver Magnusson are the best Strongmen I've ever seen. My brother and I met you when you were in Essington Pa, at the Lagoon. We went up to you after the competition when you were sitting on the chair and I told you that you provided many hours of entertainment on ESPN, and you said " You know what , it IS entertainment". My brother asked you if you did 20 rep squats. You said yes, and that you do them all the time. You took alot of time to talk to us and we appreciate it very much. Anyway, this is a great forum you have started and I hope you win the competition coming up. Anyone who can pick up a 380 some pound stone has to be one of the strongest Strongman competitors of all time. The stones are a true measure of strength. Good Luck, Jesse. Anyway, my question is what excercise is THE most important one to do. My guess would be squats or the clean and press??? If you had to pick only one. Thanks, Jesse.

P.S. I hope to see you in Minnesota

Wow thanks man! Glad you signed up. There is going to be another contest at the lagoon. As you can see from this page, I am not invited back. http://americanstrongman.org/articles/detail.asp?ArtID=36

I'm probably not invited because I knocked the mascot, Rocky the Moose, down on accident. Maybe if the promotor were to receive numerious emails requesting my participation in the show I might get in... ;)

I used to say squatting was the bext exercise. Then I changed my mind to the clean and jerk. Now I'm going with stone lifting. Stone lifting is something you can do for a lifetime, where as clean and jerks tend to be more injury causing over time.

Thanks for the answer and the link, Jesse. The Lagoon was good because it was small and up close to everything. I'll send my e-mails to them. :D
