Has anyone had a burning sensation in the knee? When I bend my knee I experience a burning feeling on the side of it no pain just a burning feeling. Any ideas?

Can you give me a little more info re the burning. Which side of the knee, does it only occur when you bend or bend against resistance, any burning or pain with weight bearing, any feelings of instability when it occurs, etc?

Based on just burning with bending I'd say hamstring, a knee flexor, but there many other structures that could be involved.

Left side bottom of the knee when I bend it without resistance. Feels almost like a sun burn or rug burn, when I put it straight I don't feel it only in total bent position. More so when I have jeans on pressing on it does not appear to be any redness or rash to the area and has been more than two weeks just seems plan weird, concern is some kind of ligament or tendon damage.

By the left side I'm assuming you mean the inside of the knee. If that's the case it's probably the pes anserine bursa that's gotten irritated. The best way of treating that is to ice, I have my patients do ice massages for 6 minutes, 4 times a day to the area. You also need to stretch your hamstrings, the tendons pass right over the area. The best way is to use an open doorway. Lie down on the floor with your butt close into the doorway, place the heel of the side you're stretching on the door jamb, keep a slight bend in the knee then slightly rotate the leg outward. Keep your oposite leg straight. You should feel the stretch in your posterior thigh. Don't straighten the knee completely as you don't want to stretch the posterior joint capsule. Hold the stretch 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Repeat 3 times, 2 to 3 times per day, and especially after you work out.

Hope this helps.
