We've been discussing the idea of doing some recruiting for new members in the Sequim Strongman Crew. Sequim is the perfect place to train.

Guys, can you think of more reason's why training in Sequim is so sweet?

-Organic Veggies locally grown.
-Awesome health food store that sells tons of organic foods
-Our facility is awesome and fully loaded
-Expert coaching and motivation is always present
-Current members were all hand picked and continue to be amazing individuals in and out of the training center
-Dairy farm sells raw milk
-Pops' berry farm for natural anti-oxident benefits
-Clean air in a safe small town but close enough to the city
-Lots of outdoor activities to keep boredom at bay
-Pride of being a part of one the most hard working group of strength athletes in the world
-Tons of hot local girls who are single and love to cook and massage sore trap muscles...

Anyways, my point is, if anyone is interested in joining us, simply send me an email along with a brief resume and we shall consider you as a possible addition to our crew.

Couple questions for you Jesse.

How old do you ahve to be to be on the extrodinary Squim Crew?

How far is Squim from olympia?

i would really like to get into training with you guys once my knee is done healing and im back to full strenght. I'm 16 and im not a weak kid, but im not OUTRAGIOUSLY stong. i do have potential but i need wonderful motivators like you guys to get bigger, strong, and faster.

id be willing to make the trip to train with you guys. afterall. i only live once, and it would be a dream come true :)

We live about 5 hours from Olympia I believe. our zip is 98382 so you can map it out...

you don't have to be accomplished to be in our crew. we look for strength of mind in indivuals who are in possession of the proper constitution required for such an endevor as demanding as maximizing ones physical power.

Anyone is welcome to visit us at anytime. Email me for details on how to make this possible.

I think the last time I saw a woman compete it was Kara Mann, which I think she could have beat me on most events lol.

ps. Email sent.

we're certainly not apposed to ladies joining us, but you might have to bring your own equipment. our smallest DB for example is 70 lbs... Honestly, I can't imagine, as a female, wanting to hang out with a lot of belching, snot rocketing, smelly, disgusting, pimps like us... our own wives won't come near our facility...

Seriously, don't say that till you've met Jake 'El Chupacabra' after a week on Sarge's construction site... Imagine pigpen from snoopy comics... haha

Jesse, I have been seriously considering looking for work in that area since the last time you were down here. It is getting harder and harder to live off otherwise decent wages down here, the real estate is too expensive and the homeowners insurance is bordering on the insane.... not to mention I actually hate the weather and only live here for my work and family.

Problem is, you guys are in a rural area, and I work in Information Technology, same as my wife. I would just embarass myself trying to work in construction.

Jesse,

You guys should take Brett's idea and go with it. Put together a 2 or 3 day "seminar". Shoot man, it works for Cross Fit. It works for Ryan Vierra and other Highland's guys. It might be worth a shot for you guys.

You know the whole thing, talking, demonstrations, workout tips, other pros etc. Shoot, there's probably enough people just in the Northwest that would come out, let alone the whole country.

good luck. And...if any of you young guys has the ability and guts to move out to WA and train w/ the Skwim crew, go for it!! It is a life decision that you will not regret down the road, esp. if you are serious about strongman/woman. Shoot man, get a job, go to college, whatever. Just move close.

enough ranting

see ya

Mark

If you don't have to live in Jesse's backyard: Intel, Microsoft and Boeing are all within a few hours driving distance from Sequim.

The west coast is THE haven for high tech industry. :)

And Google! (Their datacenter is in Redmond as well).

In fact, it looks like they are about 60-70 miles away from Sequim (my current commute is 30 miles in heavy traffic, so an hour there, about an hour and 15 back in the evenings). I have been playing around with googlemaps and looking at cost of living over there. Man you guys have it good, costwise.

Down where I am at, it's even better than up there. :)

There's also a Yahoo branch right next to the campus I am in. The Northwest has just about everything, high tech-wise. Lots of opportunities. :)

Maybe I could get a job teaching??

Josh, move to Washington! We need cool people to balance out all the smug Kalifornians moving up here and clogging up our freeways. Redmond to Sequim would be one SCARY!! commute, and this is coming from a guy that drives about 135 miles a day for school! I used to work with a guy that lived in Poulsbo and worked in Kent, it took him about two hours to get to work in the morning.

It's a good thing the majority of events took place outside in the driveway, or it would have been a VERY short day.....The garage is way to small for that....

Quebec is a french speaking province of Canada. All the real men in France moved there hundreds of years ago.

Jesse you should just create a reality TV show for the next Sequim member set it up like the ultimate fighter and have Met-rx slap labels on everything and sell it to Spike or MTV god knows they need some new ideas one can only watch CSI and Real World repeats so many times before throwing stones off a roof at the TV

Jesse Snadden

Well the french in Quebec isn't quite as charming as it is spoken in France. It's as different as English here is to english in the Britain.

Wish Sequim wasn't so bloody far. I'd certainly come down.

Hey Jesse i'm new to this site and this is my first post. I'm 19 years old and from the U.K. and would be really interested in joining your crew if i could get over there! I've just finished college and also play semi-professional rugby in the U.K. ( if you don't know rugby is kind of like American football! lol!). I've been weight training for 2 years and my best lifts are: squat- 410lbs, deadlift- 450lbs, clean and jerk- 225lbs, bench- 280lbs. I'm 6ft3 and 220lb. As I said I'm really interested but with me being in the U.K. it could be difficult!
