Cory just competed in Grant's Oregon contest.
This is a cool pic in my opinion, he looks HOOGE!

Jess, how much weight have you gained since that Big Sky contest?

I was 255 at the big sky show. I'm 295 as I'm sitting here now. I was in great shape then having just left the football feild. My weight to strength ratio was good as well. I did a 500 lb front squat shortly after that show and a 440 full clean. I was a little over 260 when I did that. Also did a 300 log and a 419 clean and jerk. Although my best contest lifts then were 330 snatch and 407 clean and jerk at 262 BW. And just an FYI; My best standing press was 220 for a true max single and I don't think I could have deadlifted 700.

OLD SCHOOL Jesse! I love it!

That was the first time I met Jesse and Corey. I remember, Corey puked his Biscuits & Gravy breakfast, after the Truck Pull. They didn't have to pull the Crane. They had a Budweiser truck, or something...and a dog WAS EATING HIS PUKE ON THE GRASS AFTERWARDS!

Weren't you sleeping in your truck Jesse, the night before the show? That's when I first met Jack too. I couldn't believe the size of him, but was tripping out on how cool that dog is.

That Crane Pull was the heaviest thing I've ever tried to pull in Strongman. 2nd heaviest thing, was that Truck Pull in the 2005 Hawaii's Strongest Man. Phister was the only guy that pulled it the whole distance.

Whatever happened to your friend April Zeveta, Corey?
HIGA.

Ya I couldn't afford a room so I crashed in the back of the truck in my sleeping bag. Jack kept me from freezing to death...

I ran into April at the Mr O in vegas a few weeks back. She's a momma now and living in Vegas.

pretty interesting info there. will be cool to see what happens when you're all healed up with healthy knees and can train exactly how you want to!

Too bad Beerd Beekman isn't competing anymore, he was a serious animal with a 600 raw bench and a 765 raw squat and deadlift.

Apparently he's some hotshot manager for a company now and has a ton of people under his supervision and doesn't have the time for serious training anymore.

ya that was the one and only time I've ever ran into him and Randy. Both were awesome guys and very strong.

another FYI; Beerd and Randy, who went one and two were both Canadian. So I beat all the Americans only to lose to two of our northers iron bros on our soil! haha

Just thought I'd post up and let everyone know that Beerd is doing well, he's just enjoying being with family and is busy with work.

Randy is training hard trying to get back into peak condition. He's been having problems with a sore back for a while but I think he's getting it sorted out.

Beerd and Randy and the two guys that got me into strongman...talk about two great guys to have as "leaders".

:)
