Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum and live in Keizer, Oregon(next to Salem) and was wondering if any of you guys know anybody that trains for strongman in this area. I train by myself at home and at the YMCA, but I'm looking for somebody to train with. I don't have any implements yet, but I'm working on it. If anybody needs kegs though, I work for Budweiser and can get them for $12(empty). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike
There are probably closer groups but we train in Vancouver,wa.

Vancouver's only about 50 minutes from where I'm at. There used to be a place in Portland but they shut down. How often do you guys train Lacy?
every sunday we do events I'll message ya

Lacy and I train together. We have a decent setup, a good variety of implements, and like she said, we train events every Sunday.

My girlfriend may be going to grad school out there, so I may find myself there. I have close to a full set up and would be starting a strongman gym once there. A year or two down the line however...just figured I'd throw it out there.

That's about 30 minutes away. Do you train alone like me? How often do you train events?

That's about 30 minutes away. How many do you train with and when do you train events?

Yeah I train alone, no one around here is man enough to train at all, its lame. Right now I train events teusday and thursday, usually more static events on teusday and all the other crap (I am fat and slow, so I am crappy at anything you have to move at). If you want to come down just say so, I might be able to change around my schedual if need be.
Here are the impliments I have:
10" steel log
220lb stone and 60" platform (theyre not pretty though)
farmers walk handles
axle
180lb keg
500lb tire
and a whole lotta weights and stuff
and some grippers.

Just PM me when you are thinking about coming down, then we could set something up.

No problem. I hope I can come down. I've never done stones before and I'm chomping at the bit to do them.
