want a tat

my uncle is going to buy me a tat for christmas.......i know i want it to involve vikings, but its my first one, so im not sure what i want......im having a lot of trouble finding cool pictures of vikings, so if anyone could post some in this thread, i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

If I was you, I would go into a number of shops and check out their collection of flash and look at portfolios. Take your time and don't settle on one design until you have seen at least 4-5 more just like it.

Go to www.deviantart.com. Check out a bunch of stuff and pick an artist whose work you're fond of, then create an account, PM them and ask nicely if they'd be willing to design you a one-of-a-kind piece. Most there would be pretty psyched to have someone ask to have a tattoo designed.

I am going to go out on a limb here, but i am betting that Vikings didn't shave their chest, or arms and legs for that matter. I would shudder to think of what real Vikings would do to some Metrosexual Viking that did. LOL.

Also not sure why so many people seem fascinated by the Vikings. As someone of European descent, i can't be 100% sure that i don't have any Viking ancestory, but i would like to think that i am not related to anyone that murdered and stole for a living and raped for fun.

JON! The reason some manly men look up to Vikings is not because of the murdering and raping specifically, but more because they lived a completely victorious life and by their own law. They knew what they wanted and they went out and fought for it. They travelled all over the world kicking ass. They were big huge people and wore awesome armor. Their gods were AWESOME. I could go on for a long time.
