I am doing a 20 rep squat routine at the moment, on Wendsday on my 17th rep I started to get some pain in the back of my head. I finished out the set and had a really bad headache for a little while afterwards. today (friday) I felt fine so I went to do another set of 20 rep squats, on the 5th rep the headache came back big time.
I heard this is from muscle spasms but would like some more insight

I have felt similar headache pain years ago doing squats and looking down to the ground in between repetitions. I went to the chiropractor and he said that I probably put my neck into mis-alignment from doing that. You may think of having a check up be a chiropractor. That would be my suggestion if the pain continues.

its your levator scapula muscles getting fatigued AKA the headache muscles dont worry bout it.

Also could be from the lack of o2 to the brain or just over all raise in bloodpressure from exerting all the force in other words no biggie.

Thanks, I did not think it was a big deal just wanted to know what caused it.
I guess I'll just take the weekend off and start training again come monday>
