Hey gang just a few quick pics from yesterday.. I had some of the boys over for a "training contest" ..it was kinda scored and all in all an awesome time.. We had 5 guys show up and a suprise competitor at the end .. it was a scorcer about 29 degrees - that's 90 for most of you..and lifted from noon to about 3 pm ( and the awesome BBQ burgers made from grass fed beef with a few gins after was nice too) here was the set up that every one got emailed and we stuck to it..
1) log press max weight - rounds - start at 160 up 20 a round - help the smaller guys - scored lb lifted over bodyweight
2) Farmers 150 ft w / two turns - one drops - 90% BW - time or distance
3) medley 50 ft course 170 keg down - 500 tire back down.. distance time
4) stones - 54 inch platform 185/225/250/310/330) - tacky allowed..
it went well.. here are some pics
1) a freaky new competitor matt staples - try 405 X 20 Dl at 210 lb
2) Big Matt Parkes hitting a 260 log
3) me hitting a 240 log
4) me hitting the 225 axle for fun
5) the lovely and talented Nicole - who prefers GIN to GYM - after a few in the yard - hits the 75 lb log easily!!
KICK ASS!! See everyone in Woodinville..p.s. I was 244 at Port Townsend and now on a freight scale in t-shirt short and shoes - 231.6 - it must be the beef :)
