Last night I did the gallon of milk challenge (with a witness) and drank a gallon of skim in 58min and 49sec....the challenge is to drink a gallon of milk in an hr and not puke.

I didn't puke....but my stomach was BEATING UP on me for about 24 hours, lol....and I am the least lactose intolerant person I know, must just have been the volume over a short time.

Fun stuff....but I won't be doing it again in this lifetime.....and don't give me shit because it was skim, lol

Who issued this challenge? Is there some prize involved?

I just moved out to MI...and a girl I met who grew up on a dairy farm was talking to me, and I asked her what the deal was with 1/2% milk because they have it in stores here and I had never seen it before and I regard myself as a milk expert......I told her I used to drink a gallon a day and she said I bet you can't do the milk challenge...so I said what's that......and she told me, and I said whenever you want to witness, I am game, but it had to be skim, so she said it would count still......I've slammed a quart post workout in a minute or two, and i have done 1/2 in no time flat, so I thought I'd kill this...but it was TOUGH......after 3/4 of a gallon I felt like I just got off a roller coaster.....the girl thought it was pretty cool though, lol

I too thought I would destroy it, the first half I did in under 10 min.....big mistake, gotta pace yourself. I threw up at about 30 min with like 2 cups left.

Our entire o-line tried to do it as a race, myself drinking a gallon a day we thought it would be nothing, and our coach even bought us the milk. It was one in 46 min by our 360 lbs right guard.....

The worst part about it though is if you don't do it, its a short enough time the milk is still chilled coming up....ya...not fun.

I hate to burst your bubble... but I have seen this challenge come and go for about 15 years, and the challenge is for WHole Milk. you will never hold down whole milk.

you will never hold down whole milk.

BS. I've done it and seen it done many times. When I was "incarcerated" and worked in the kitchen, a group of us would do this and challenge newcomers all the time. I've witnessed one kid do it in under 40 minutes and hold it down. It's not hard if you practice for it.

i have done it with whole milk about 3 times, its easy. Drink about 8oz every 5-6min. Get up and move around. Come back and drink again. When it starts to get twords the end. just keep goin till u finish its not a nice feeling. Then when your done curl up in a ball and close your eyes and try and go to sleep if you can.

Thats how i do it. Works everytime for me. But then again i been drinking milk like its goin out of style for 10years

2400cals
182g carbs
128g protein

I have never done it or attempted to do it, but I think I could do it no problem. Maybe on my next eating bender I will give it a try.

It doesn't sound like much, but the lactose sucks.

But like Brandon said, pace yourself, and its very doable.

a gallon of whole is nothing for competitive eaters. I have a friend who I swear can do a gallon of whole in 15 minutes and keep it down.

I've done a half gallon in 3 minutes with no problems at all, but a full gallon gives me trouble.

On the T.V. show Inked the kid that works in the shop, Dizzle, drank a whole gallon of milk in about 13 minutes on a dare. He only weighs about 170lbs max. He keep it down for about 40+ minutes. Then puked his guts out, but it was the first time he had ever tried it and I thought it was pretty damn impressive.

I lost that challenge about 2 years ago at work. Lost a bet with 5 people. The first 3/4 went down in about 10 minutes, but I couldn't get the last 1/4 done in the remaining 50 minutes. Wish I had Brandon's Milk Wisdom to guide me along. I did however eat 15 Kit Kats (60 individual bars)in 6 minutes one other time.

We had a guy try this with no preparation at all on our football team a long time ago. Slammed a full gallon of whole milk in about 15 min. Let's just say it was the best display of projectile puke I've seen. I didn't think milk could come out of that many openings!!

Speaking of competitive eaters. Anyone see the Crystal burger eating challenge yesterday on ESPN 2. Kobyashi - 97 burgers in 8 Minutes!!!

I did this with a couple hamburgers added and still won. The funny thing is that I was hungry about 2 hours later!!

OK, so "whole milk" has been done by many.

I think someone ought to try this with raw milk! I'm talkin straight outta the bulk tank on a dairy farm! Whole milk is only 3% fat, but raw is 8% fat. I think Brandon can do it!

You are correct; any decent competitive eater can get the gallon of milk down no problem. Joey Chestnut did a wingbowl stunt where he drank the gallon in 40 seconds or so - which is the record as far as I know. . .but most guys could probably do it in under 5 minutes.

It's not hard to get it down. . .keeping it down is the problem I'm sure. I've never tried it myself because I don't have much of a lactose tolerance and am not sure I want to go through a day of possible digestive problems. Maybe one day I'll try it if someone dares me to and does it with me. Here's a video of a guy drinking a gallon in 2 minutes:

I think since the school pays for our meal plans anyway the extra gallons of milk should be ok, although milk does not match the required carb to protein ratio of a supplement given to athletes....too much protein for that...isn't that the stupidest thing you've ever heard.

Straight from the cow would be gross. The milk in the bulk tank has gone through a cloth filter to catch any particles, but it's till in its "natural" state.

Lol i drank about 32oz of "raw" milk chuggin it in like 30seconds once when i visited a dairy farm. It made my stomach gurgle and rumble for about 20min after. A gallon of it? maybe but dont expect me to leave hte bathroom 7hours later :FF: :FF: :FF:

I thought it was impossible because something in the milk in excess (a gallon is quite a bit for one sitting) makes you throw it up?

It has to be whole milk. It's the milk fat that makes you puke.

I did the gallon of whole in an hour almost to the minute on a $50 bet with a friend. Kept it down, won my $50, but the next day I had to call into work.

I poured three dixie cups (about 8oz each) and drank one, then refilled, waited for the other one to warm a bit (to not shock my stomach) and drank the other. When you get to 5, 6, 7 you are sipping... and the last glass for me was pretty much "sip, wait 2 minutes, sip, wait 2 minutes".

I think it's too much calcium.

This was from a long time ago, but ... HUH????

Whole milk is 3.5%, raw (or RAW if you are a powerlifter) is usually between 3.2 to 3.7% depending on the feed and the weather. Nowhere near 8%.

I've seen Harrison do a gallon of milk in 3 huge glasses. Two one right after another, and a third about 20 minutes later. It's no wonder the three of us go through a gallon of milk a day here!

Joshua Davis

I think it's too much calcium.

Take a small glass of milk and add some room temperature vinegar to it.

Watch what happens. It basically turns into paste and water (it curdles).

That's why you harf when you drink a gallon of milk. The acidity in your stomach solidifies and hardens the milk into curds, stretching your stomach and forcing it right back up your blowhole.

did a gallon of whole milk in college right at 50 min. Didn't throw up but did keep me on the toilet for a few hours afterwards.

Did a half gallon of egg nog a couple days later and that was worse than the milk.
