i searched for a bit and didn't come up with much.

I know that wearing a belt should be reserved for max attempts and competition so your core doesn't get/stay weak. But what about shorts and low back supports? And elbow sleeves?

I really don't feel like getting any more joint problems than I already have, but dont' want to compromise my strength training either.

I wear my knee sleeves during almost all of my workouts.I dont think they effect strength much at all.

I wear them when I squat and when I do events. I wear the shorts and knee sleeves when I do overheads to keep my legs warm and ready to use them to drive weights up. I think it helps.

I don't wear my rehbands much at the gym just because I am too lazy to put them on, and since I started concentrating on cleans, the texture of the neoprene interferes with the bar and snags. By the same token, because of the rapid weightloss; I wear underarmor compression shorts when training cleans because all my shorts are now too baggy and snag the bar as well.

My knees only give me trouble when it's cold, and I live in Florida - so I only wear the sleeves when training outdoors in the winter nowadays.

the texture of the neoprene interferes with the bar and snags.

Baby powder will cure that or at least it has for me.
