So I got my T.K. knee sleeves, and they're awesome, nice and tight, kept my dodgy knees nice and warm, squatting is a whole different experience. Lovin' it.

BUT, and it's not a small but as you can see, getting those things on and off fairly rips the hair out of my legs.

So here's the question - how many people shave their legs to make this kind of thing easier?

I've been thinking about doing this for a while anyway to make it easier to rub deep heat and stuff like that on my legs. As a former cyclist I know that'll be easier hairless.

Or am I drifting too close to the dark side by even thinking about this?

:D

I have hairy legs and I've never had a problem with this. What are TK sleeves? I shave my chest for the tacky, and I've thought about doing my arms, but your knees for sleeves? Man you must be a sasquatch :M:

This is Strongman not Quilting.

Everything we do hurts.

TBS's own Mark "The Champ" Sikora leaves hair on every stone he loads. :M:

They're similar to Rehbands but... well, as I've never used Rehbands all I can tell you is that they're cheaper. Top item here - http://www.jackalsgym.com/aspx/str_general.aspx

I'm really not that hairy... except on my legs. All that hair around the back of my knees and top of my calf get's well and truly plucked when I take them on and off.

I know, but I feel it's unsightly to be weeping gently as I walk into and out of the gym...

The rehabands dont tear any hairs out - if ithe Tks are that bad then get a set of rehabands or get rid of the hair!

I recieved a really good tip on this board (not too long ago) about turning them inside out to slide them up over the shin and then flip them at the knee.

They're not bad... I just, having never used this kind of thing before, assumed that it was all part of using them.

Yeah, I'm doing that. In fact, it's the only way I can get them on. It's the neoprene I guess, really sticks to the skin.

I guess the third option I should have put in the poll was "shut the hell up."

Screw it dude, shave 'em, so you can move on and focus on heavier things. Also, shut the hell up. ;)

I had to shave my left arm pit once. so do what ever you need to do. just do the part of your leg that you have to. it will make people wonder.

I had to shave the elbow area of my right arm to get the icyhot patches to stick.

I looked hilarious.

I say do it.

me and my buddy are always debating the superiority of our sports. he debates the superiority of swimming while I defend weightlifting/strongman/etc. and I always make fun of him for having to shave his legs, so after that, if I EVER shaved my legs for ANY reason he would never let me hear the end of it.

do some manscaping and get training......at least take a clipper to them and take em down to a #1. this way you have hair on your legs, its just shorter and wont get caught

I see you're from Scotland. What would the rest of the lads (and lasses, for that matter ) think when they saw your smooth "getaway sticks" hanging below your kilt?

If you're not worried about what ol' Spicy McHaggis thinks of you down at the pub, shave them. Or maybe just get a clipper and trim them down a wee bit.
