I am inthe middle of training to become an emt an tonight they were talking about how to transport patients and Proper lifting techniques... ( deadlifting a 120 pounds Bb) lol and one fool in the class started imatating strongman ref saying "good lift" and "bad lift" etc... then i heard him mention to another kid

"an american won the WSM.... Tha kid from Boston though really sucks, he couldnt even throw those kegs over that thing or what ever"

So i said, "that kid from boston is 10-15 years younger than most of the guys he's going up against not to mention 50-100 pounds lighter, thats a really tuff sport and you shouldnt pass judgement like that if you dont know what its about"

Now if those comments were about that american from Sequim Washington, than it probaly wouldnt have bothered me as much

haha just joking Jesse!

Another funny point mentioning, one of the chicks in the class fell wen she deadlifted that 120 pound bar lol scared the shit out of me but she was ok......

Those kind of ignorant comments rank right up there with "I could kick his @$$" when referring to someone on the UFC who gets beat when most smack talkers struggle to walk a flight of stairs much less throw a 60# keg over a bar or wrestle much less fight for 3 5 minute rounds.

Lots of stupid people in the world today.

I could sooooo kick Tim Sylvia's ass.

So could I.

If I were standing behind him.

And I could get away before he turned around.

Yeah, livin in Vegas, I've heard this kind of stuff a thousand times from people escpecially when it comes to boxers and mma fighters. But on the flipside, I've heard the same stuff from bodybuilders, strongmen, and powerlifters, when it comes to football players.

It's a shame how jealousy rears it's ugly head in all endeavors!

Heh, since WSM 2006 was aired, my friends and acquaintances (who should know better) have talked crap about Jesse, Thigpen, and Nee.

I got kind of pissy. And when I say kind of I mean extremely. They're all sports fanatics, but with the exception of one (who didn't mouth off), none of them were ever serious about playing sports themselves. I yelled at them for being hypocrites. Then I threw a chair through a wall and threatened to kill them all.

Probably a slight over-reaction but sports fans who don't play sports annoy the piss out of me.

WHAT? You did not follow through!?!?! You should have at least thrown a chair into the wall that had one of them sitting on it! Great training as well as stress relief.
