Just got back from town today with a new tire! Now I've got two. Is this one pretty enough, guys?

The guys at the tire shop said this should be between 700-800lbs. Nice to flip it.

is it a 23.5 R25 or 23.5 25?

Actually, I think it's a 26.5-25. Any idea on how much it actually weighs?

Try a search using the make and size. For example I did a google search for "26.5 25" and came up with this address:
http://www.tirexusa.com/firestone/hsrg.html
It lists 3 tires that size one at 800 one at 900 and one at 1097. Each brand has a different weight. And some brands have different weights for the same size tire depending on what ply it is. I belive the 1097 is 20 ply while the 800 is 12 but I'm not sure.
I hope this helps,
-Mike

Thanks, Mike. I really appreciate the help with this. I'll save this in my favourites.
Will it say on the tire what ply it is?

I just went out and checked the tire over, and found the ply. It's 26 ply, 26.5-25, which should put this at 900lbs new. However, it's probably worn down by maybe 50-100lbs? So I guess the one I have is at least 800.

Hey Jamie, sweet tyre bro!
Mike, man that link was a gold mine....at last I can finally find the weight of my tyre....I need to find the ply rating, but mine is only lightweight...lucky if it weighs 320kgs

If your tire is a different brand the weight could be off a bit so I would still do a search on it just to be sure.

Yeah, it's definitely a good start though. Helps to get an idea, at least.
