a while ago i went on to a bodybuilding forum and all i heard was bitching and negative comments about each other in a segment devoted to pictures, all there was were people puttong down those who werent as buff as others and claiming that all the photos of buff people were photoshopped, give me a break, and then on other parts of the forum the acted all nice and encouraging to each other like the were never jurks to each other :D

What site did you go to? Some are definately better than others in that the members are more mature.

There is much more camaraderie in the strength sports - maybe it's because we aren't always looking in the mirror.
At the end of my training day - I'm too tired to look in the mirror anway.

Thats why you should stick to this board(there are a few other good ones too). The bodybuilding(cough.comcough :BB: ) forum I check every once in a while is pretty bad about stuff like that.I only check it out from time to time,to see whats new,and to help a few people that really want to listen and learn.I cant believe how often people tear each other down their. Most of them dont have ANY room to talk.My training partner is a bodybuilder, and even he doesnt bother with alot of the boards anymore because of things like that.

Many of the posters on the BB boards, especially the obnoxious, critical ones, are sitting at home in their parents' basements and have never picked up a weight in their life. All they seem to want to do is stir up trouble and piss people off.
One of the good things about this board is that we don't have any like that. I think it is due to Jesse's insistance that people use their real names.
you beat me to saying that.I agree 100% I think most on the boards are armchair weightlifters.this is truly one of the most authentic boards as far as people that really train and get out and compete

it was bodybuilding.coms forum, they were definately jerks to each other, well at least some of the people, it was hard to find a thread without some asshole posts(then again i gave up after about ten threads)

There are armchair weightlifters, and then there are weightlifters who lift armchairs.
