Usually I wouldn't post up something like this, but this video hit me like a ton of bricks. Could be because we just saw something like this first hand. We were sitting around the pool, partying like rock stars at spring training, chatting up some women, and there was this dad, with his teenaged son, who obviously had some severe handicap. Wheelchair bound, thin body etc. It really put things into perspective quickly.
Anyway: I just saw this video on another site. If it's not appropriate, please feel free to delete this post.
Please, especially if you have kids, do not watch this at work. You will end up crying.
see ya

Here's the article by Rick Reilly from Sports Illustrated to go along with the video. I keep it as a link in my AIM profile all the time. I think both the article and video were posted somewhere on the forum a few months ago, but thanks for putting it back up again...it's one of those things that definitely doesn't hurt to be read and seen again. Read the article first if you can. Talk about powerful.

I've seen videos of the Hoyt's before and just from what was written here, I thought that the original post was probably talking about them. Awesome stuff. There is also a video somewhere of them being enterviewed for Good Morning America or some show like that. Very cool.
Great athletes, very inspiring. Almost makes me want to do cardio.

I love seeing the joy on his son's face. That would give me the strength of 10 men.
