Just a note to let you all know I'll be going in for surgery to repair the pec I tore in Venice last weekend. Also, going to have some shoulder work done that I was hoping to put off until the off-season; since my off-season has officially started. Good luck to you all the rest of this year.

I know the older you are, the longer it takes to heal from injuries, so we can expect Jim to be back competing in what...maybe 10 or 12 years?
Just kidding big guy. We all hope you get well fast so you can keep kicking ass.

I was bummed out that I couldn't bust my ass more at the end of june when you guys were all up cause I was saving myself for the Pro-Am in Minnesota. NEXT time though, I'm gonna keep up with everybody on everything. I want everyone to beat the shit outta me! When they come, I'll be ready. I'm used to limping away from Odd's house anyways...
I wonder when everyone is planning to all come down to Odd's again. Can't wait!
best of luck! you'll be backin no time. i went under tuesday for my acl reconstruction, meniscus repair and bone fracture crap...woo hoo! all my thoughts and prayers are with you for a smooth operation and speedy recovery!

Kara, I had my ACL done Sept 30th of last year, took 4 and a half months to be 100% back to normal. Doctors told me 6-9 months. I squatted 585lb. x 2 last workout and cleaned 405lb. x 2 this past Friday. Keep your head up, rehab that thing like crazy. ACL's aren't shit anymore!

Kara, how'd you do yours? Mine came in the 3rd quarter vs. Miami last season. Cost me mucho $$, but my comeback will make it all the sweeter. I wish you well in your rehab!
Oh yeah, what did they use? Patella, Hamstring, Cadaevor?

I'll make sure to post a pic after surgery this week. Although, even with the scars I'm sure these guys will enjoy pictures of your leg more than pics of my armpit!

i'm so sorry matt :( but kick ass on the 4.5 month return. you're my inspiration. any advice for me? my patellar was the real team player in all this...sacrificing a third of itself for my new acl. thanks patellar! :YR: i see you went with the allograft? too late now but i'm thinking maybe i should have done that.

Well as promised here's a photo from yesterday after they removed the dressings.
My surgeon said the surgery went well, the tendon was completely intact so they just had to reattach the muscle. Also, scoped the shoulder while I was under and aside from some scar tissue and a bone spur said it looked great. I'll get the stiches out next week and will be able to start rehab in about 3 weeks or so.
Thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

Oh man, you are so lucky that you're broken and 2,000 miles away. There will be no more beating up on us; well, maybe on Joshy Poo.
