Anyone own a Rehband Back Support belt? Wondering if it is worth the money?
Thanks for the help!

I'm looking to get it, everyone around here has one, it seems, but we are in Rehband country.

I love mine for everything...By the way if any one needs extra poly back support inserts for the belt we have them. Free w/ mold order or $1.00 each otherwise.

thanks, Steve

I think it adds great support for events. I don't recommend using it for every set but for max efforts it makes a big difference.

my favorite thing to use it for is a deadlift for reps. the belt can pinch and stuff but with the rehband thing on all i feel is my head about to explode.

Completely worth it. I rarely use my regular belt for event days anymore.

Why I like it is it keeps the low back real warm, a little support but not too much, and since its flexible you can breathe and it doesn't take your core completely out of the lift

Okay, this might be a stupid question but are the rehband back supports more then just neoprene??? Obviously so...I was unaware that there were inserts in them.

In my opinion, the inserts do absolutely nothing. After about 3 months, I got tired of the inserts constantly slipping out, so I finally just tossed them. After taking them out, I noticed no difference at all, rendering them useless for me. This is just my opnion, and it's opinion of a man with Scoliosis in his lumbar.

So with out the inserts is it just a thick neo wrap that keeps warm and provides a small amount of support or is there something more to it???

You got it, nothing more to it. Now I'm NOT discrediting it by any means! I wear it for almost everything to at least keep my back warm. And, as stated earlier, it's also nice to have under a belt for the max effort lifts so that the belt doesn't dig in.

So is it something that I would wear instead of my belt or in addition to my belt?

sometimes i wear mine by itself and sometimes i wear it with a power belt. usually i wear both for contests.

I do and I rarely wear my belt without it underneath. I love mine!

I use the Tommy Kono waist band myself. Not sure how it compares to a Rehband, but it is cheaper.

I would think so. I'm 200 and it overlaps me a good... oh, foot or more? So I would guess this would be good out to 46" waists? It is just neoprene so it stretches a good bit too. I never paid attention, but I would think that TK has different sizes, just like his knee bands.

Does it wrap around like a belt or do you pull it up? So how about sizing?
I notice Jackal's don't have the blue one just the new type support.

Both wrap around. If you aren't interested in support so much as just keeping your lower back warm (this is my concern with a lower back that is prone to muscle pulls), then I think the TK waist band is worth a look. I'm not sure what kind of support the Rehband belt offers, but a few of the guys I train with wear them. I can tell you that under the TK belt I can build up a sweat on days where it is in the teens. I'm not sure if I've ever noticed the other guys with a big sweat mark from the Rehband belts. Anyone care to chime in here?

I get a good sweat going with it on, I take off my belt and rehband after every set. So I don't get a good sweat line going but it still is good. I've got the newer style rehband, the gray and black one, it works great for me. I don't know what the old blue one is like, I was hoping to get it just because you see everyone has a blue one. I'm more than happy with mine.
