There are a couple of contests that might interest you.. August 1st is the BC Championships in Ladysmith..last years prize $$ was 2000/700/400/200/100 and I think this year is more.. This is the same place that Jesse will go and smash everyone a few weeks later at the World Strongman Cup.. awesome promoter.. crowd is usually 2500 plus. and red hot ( they cheers for four hours non stop..) . Ed Brost, Randy Davis, Dana Matheson, Tim Sinclair are competiting (all 320 lb plus) here's the events

1:Car flip , 600lb boom chain pull for over a 3 ft log

2:Car lift and hold for longest time head to head weight of cars 650lb at the handles and no straps allowed

3: Circle walk with a 600lb tire - conans

4: Farmer walk for longest distance head to head 305lb cylinders

5:Over head log lift with worldcup weights 220-260-300-360

a Heavy show

the other one is something I may be putting on.. We are trying to line up a show for the end of September/early October..I'll keep you posted..If you want in to the L:adysmith show.. let me know ASAP...

Man, that looks like a fun contest. Hopefully next year I'll be in good enough shape to do it.
I thought Dana was done with strongman? He sold me his log, 5' axle, duck walk, farmer's walk implements, and four collars. Seemed like he was trying to shed weight and stop competing.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to competing in the WSC show in Ladysmith, just one more call I had to make after I got hurt.

Matt was telling me about the Ladysmith show at Redhook, I'm thinking about coming up to watch. However I went to the contest calendar on the "BCEAA" website, it didn't list any onfo for the Novice show in Ladysmith, just these:

I believe the Ladysmith show will be Advanced level. I just spoke with Dana and he says he's taking a break.
