Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

I just got the e-mail that I got a spot in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating qualifier in Las Vegas on May 3. I am so stoked. It's my first IFOCE contest.

Other than Kevin Ross, is anyone else on here into competitive eating?

Hey Mike. That's awesome. I'm going to be in that qualifier as well, so I'll see you there. Private message me if you want so we can trade contact info if you have any questions, want to talk about strategy, or whatever. It will be my very first hot dog qualifier actually - I've never eaten hot dogs competitively yet. I'm hoping I'll get around 18 for my first try, but I've never eaten a non-skinless dog. Apparently the proper nathan's dogs have a natural sheep's casing, which the other eaters tell me is quite a bit more difficult to get down quickly. I also am hoping to hit up a buffet with Rich LeFevre because I've heard what he can do to a buffet is legendary. And of course obligatory vegas partying :) The people I know are going to be there are Rich LeFevre, Pat Bertoletti, Joey Chestnut, and El Toro. Not sure who else.
