I am amped up for training again! Things are finally looking good to bring a string of consistant training to the table over the next six months. I have not been lifting at all and I am DYING to get back going full steam! All the injuries are healed up and I am feeling great. I finally have a super kick ass place to train year round inside. So plain and simple it's now or never man.

Here is the workout plan I am going to go with. On the strongman stuff there will be 2 different workout types MAX/REPS. I will alternate MAX stuff one session then REP stuff the next. I want to ensure I am getting a well rounded skill set. The lifting end of things will be based on a 5x5 system, more a 5,5,5,3,1 setup. That will be the same each week.

Day 1: Squat / Drag / Lower Back Stuff / Abs /
Day 2: Stones / Benching / Incline Axle|Log / Chest Stuff
Day 3: Rest - Grip Work
Day 4: Log|Axle Cleans / O-Lifting/ Upper Back Stuff / Arm over Arm
Day 5: Log|Axle Presses / Presses / Shoulder Stuff
Day 6: Rest - Grip Work
Day 7: Deadlift / Axle|Car Deadlift / Tire / Lower Back Stuff / Abs
Day 8: FW / Tri / Bi
Day 9: Rest - Grip Work

DEADLIFTS: 405x5, 455x4, 495x3, 545x2, 600x1 - Stay
- Wanted to get a baseline to see where I am at max wise. Not to bad considering the layoff. Gonna stay here till I get a 5,5,5,3,1 with these weights.

TIRE FLIP: 800x1, 800x1, 800x1, 800x1, 800x1 - Increase Reps
- I took it easy on these since the gras was slick and it was a bit muddy in spots. I will have the indoor setup ready to go for these next time out. Concrete is good!

DEADLIFT LOCKOUTS: 600x1, 700x1, 800x1 - Stay
- I had to pull off some bumper plates so this was a bit shitty. Next time I will have my bar jacks made so this will jump up alot next time.

STIFF LEG DEADS: 315x5, 315x5, 315x5 - Stay
- What can I say these suck ass.

ABS: DND
- Next time.

Overall I did not expect to do any better, my lardness is at an all time high so I figured it would be bad. It ended up alright, off course bad endurance. The good thing is I will be training in temps in the 80s & 90s so that should get me into some decent shape over the next 6 weeks.

FARMER'S WALK: 275x50ft, 300x50ft, 300x50ft, 300x50ft, 350x40ft - Stay
- Uhhhhh not good. I am feeling it most in my hands and forearms. Guess my grip fell way behind.

SUPER CLOSE GRIP: 315x5, 315x5, 315x5, 225x12, 225x12, 225x12 - Increase
- I could feel there was nothing there so no way I could have moved into the singles and doubles this week. In time......

BARBELL CURLS: 100x8, 100x8, 100x8 - Increase
- Not bad move into reps-o-5 next time.

My legs and back are sore as hell from yesterday. I got a wase to go. My grip really really gave me hell today. I feel like the FWs are not too far off from getting back up there though. All in all just a ok to bad day.

Thanks Scott! Get that bike running so you can hit the gym soon too!!

July 2nd 2005

LOG CLEANS: 210x5, 260x3, 300x1, 325x1, 350x0 - Stay
- The 325 felt easy but that 350 did not want to go anywhere. I am not geting much of a roll on the log so I am just standing up with it basically. Once I get my form in check here I should be doing ok.

BARBELL HANG CLEAN: 315x1, 345x1, 375x2 - Increase
- I was very very happy with how these went today. I was really flying high after I hit the first 375 and I managed to nail another one. If I can hit 400 by the end of August I will be sitting really well to hit my goal by the years end. Increase

BARBELL ROWS: 315x5, 315x5, 315x5 Increase
- I was exploding on these very well. So I will bump the weight. These are not very strict.

DUMBBELL ROWS: 125x5, 125x5, 125x5 - Increase
- These I do in fairly strict form. They felt good.

Karlson Rows: 225x5, 225x5, 225x5 - Stay
- I was fairly tired out by the time I got to these so I really had to grind them out. They where not very explosive so I will stay.

I was VERY happy with how the day turned out. I should be hitting some PRs in these lifts if I make good progress over the next few months. Everything felt great! Nothing better than a good training day!!!!!!

Great journal Lance. Post a video now and then like you did on the gripboard - I do my best learning by watching others.

Lance,
Could you please describe Karlsen Rows?
Thanks,

Lance Peterson
07-03-2005, 08:50 AM
I don't know how the hell I cleaned that much after the layoff but I will take it for sure.

I got my video camera so I will start taking some vids soon. My form in the clean is anything but good though. I really frankenstein it up.

Karlson rows, they are just expolive upright rows to chin level. I started doing them after seeing his video. They are a good finisher.

I'm a Wiking Yeeeeaaahhh! :D

July 3rd 2005

LOG PRESS: 210x3, 260x2, 300x1, 350x0 - Stay
- 50lbs was too much of a jump there at the end. I am trying to hurry today so I skipped the 325. Dumb, because that 350 went nowhere. I take the log off of 2 plastic barrels I fixed together, so there is no clean on this.

BARBELL PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 320x1 - Increase
- Did ok on these my upper back is still fried from yesterday. Should be good for 350 on a good day.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 45x5, 45x5, 45x5 Increase Reps
- Move into sets of 8 with that weight next time out.

Lifting on a nearly empty gas tank is dumb. Found that out the hard way today. I have been eating a good meal 2.5hrs before my workout and taking a carb shake 45min before. I did neither today and I had nuuutthin. Time to consume mass quantities of BBQ tonight!!!!

July 6th 2005

SQUATS: 225x5, 315x5, 405x3, 500x1, 500x1 - Stay
- I got thru them ok but they where not as explosive as I want so I will stay and do em again next time. Squats are my Achilles Heel big time.

SUPER YOKE: 490x100ft, 590x100ft, 690x50ft - Stay
- These went about as well as I thought they would. So so. I will add weight once I hit 700lbs for 100ft with no drops.

SUPER YOKE LOCKOUTS: 750x3, 850x2, 950x1 STAY
- I will increase the weight on these once I hit all for sets of 3. I figure once I get to those weights in the walk I will need to do 2-3 setdowns to get it across the line. This should help.

DRAGS: 490x50ft, 490x45ft, 490x30ft - Stay
- I will add weight here once I can nail 50ft on all three sets.

FRONT SQUATS: 225x5, DNF, DNF - Stay
- It's ova Rock! I am outta gas.

I did ok today. Gotta start somewhere so I am hoping to make some quick progress in all these lifts & events. This had me dead ass tired by the end. I have been eating right and doing everything I should so I am optimistic.

BENCH PRESS: 225x5, 275x5, 315x3, 365x1, 365x1 Increase
- These did NOT feel good. It looks like I have lost a ton of ground here.

INCLINE 13" LOG PRESS: 210x5, 260x3, 300x1 - Increase
- These went alright had some nice explosion there. Should hit 325 next time.

1/3 BENCH LOCKOUTS off pin: 405x1, 455x1, 500x0 Stay
- Not too bad here. Shoudl get the 500lbs next time.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x8, 55x8, 55x8- Increase
- Barely got thru them. So add weight next time.

My legs are sore as hell today and will probably be worse tomorrow so I did not have a ton of gas today. I will make real quick improvements in these lifts though. I expect to be putting up some good numbers in the next 8 weeks here.

July 9th 2005

LOG CLEANS: 210x8, 240x6, 270x5 - Stay
- This is my first reps day on strongman stuff. Gonna shoot for 5x8s. Got a taste for it today. Will nail 8s on the first 3 sets next time.

BARBELL HANG CLEAN: 325x1, 365x1, 385x.75 - Stay
- These all went great. I was all pumped up to nail the 385 and pulled it very high. But I sort of pulled it into my body and it threw me off. I consider it a 3/4 lift I guess. I will nail it next time.

BARBELL ROWS: 335x5, 335x5, 335x8 Increase
- Easy jump to 355 next time.

DUMBBELL ROWS: 140x5, 140x5, 140x5 - Increase
- Way to easy. Jump to 160s next time

KARLSON ROWS: 225x5, 225x5, 225x5 - Stay
- I was burned out again and really had to grind these out. Hopefully I can jump to 250 after one more workout.

POWER STAIR ROWS: 365x12 - Increase
- My loading pin was laying there and I decided to see what power stairs rows felt like. I basically locked my hips and back with a slight forward lean and pulled the straight bar to just above belt height. Touch and go on each rep. They felt good. So I will add these to the workout.

Another decent back day so I felt good about it. I should have nailed that 385 but it will have to wait till next time. I can feel alot of my upper back strength coming back. I need to add some type of seated rope drag too. Probably will use a sled and do them Nathan Jones style to really work my lats. I really need to get into a different mindset when I do those for rep sets. I kind of attacked them like a max attempt and used up way to much energy on the first couple reps. I will fix that next time.

July 11th 2005

LOG PRESS: 210x8, 240x7, 270x4 - Stay
- First for reps day on this stuff here. I think I did alright. I think I may be able to go for 270x6 next time. Once I hit 3 sets for 8 I will add then pounds.

BARBELL PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 345x0 - Stay
- I was a bit pissed about this, I expected to get the 345. I should be nailing that weight. Next time I will get it for sure!

STANDING 1/4 PRESS: 315x3, 365x1, 415x0
- I do these out of the rack. Felt fairly burned out by the time I got to 415. Once I hit that weight I will start increasing the range of motion.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 45x8, 45x8, 45x5 STAY
- It's ova I am out of gas.

Holy crap it is shitty outside today. Mid 80's temps + mid 70's dew points + extra lard = not so fun of a workout. The combo of extra reps and crappy lifting weather destroyed me today. I am burned out! This will help me get into shape though!

July 13th 2005

DEADLIFTS: 405x5, 455x5, 495x3, 545x2, 600x1, 630x0 - Increase
- Got the 5,5,3,2,1 this time out so increase by 20 next time out.

TIRE FLIP: 860x1, 860x1, 860x0 - Increase Reps
- I did not get the barn with the concrete floor cleared out yet so I tried again in the shitty grass. It's humid as hell and the damn pig was slippery as hell, as was the ground. I was drenched in sweat and I could go nowhere with it. I wish I would have got these on video.  I fought like hell to get extra reps and failed in just about every way you can think of. I was making up new swaer words by the end of it....

DEADLIFT LOCKOUTS: 600x3, 700x2, 800x1 - Stay
- This was a bit better this time. I will decrease the bar height next time with the above weights

STIFF LEG DEADS: 315x5, DND, DND - Stay
- I ran out of gas.

Today started out good. I will increase weight on my next dead day. It all went to crap on the tire though. I nearly freaking killed myself on that thing. I just have to get that thing moved into the barn. It's so damned humid and hot right now the thing is about impossible to use. Lockouts went good and I was totally whipped by the time stiff leg deads came up. I wanted to add a few movements today but there was no way with the heat and humidity.

FWs: 270x50ft, 300x50ft, 300xcrash
- I smoked the first 2 runs quickly. Then on the third one the FW on the left side tilted in, caught the ground, and I did a face plant straight into the ground.

This screwed me up. Somehow I managed to smash up my finger and my knee was a bit swelled up. Called it quits for the day. Gonna wait till Monday to do squats.

Scott Porter

Face plant farmers are fun. I've done it once before too. :BB:

Lance Peterson
07-19-2005, 08:30 PM
He he he, I was just happy to have all my teeth in place when I got up. I gotta get a video camera setup. In the last month my screwups would make a decent blooper real ;)

July 19th 2005

SQUATS: 225x5, 315x5, 405x3, 500x1, 500x1 - Increase
- These were super easy this time. I will bump the weight 50lbs across the board.

SUPER YOKE: 490x100ft, 590x100ft, 690x100ft - Stay
- I did really well on my first 2 sets. I could tell I was moving quicker. The last set I stumbled and dropped the yoke once at 75 ft. I should for sure get 700x100ft with no drops next time. Then I will bump up the weight.

SUPER YOKE LOCKOUTS: 750x3, 850x3, 950x3 Increase
- I got the 3x3 with the weights I was shooting for so I will add 50lbs across the board next time.

DRAGS: 490x50ft, 490x50ft, 490x40ft - Increase
- These where too easy add weight. The yoke slid sideways on the last set otherwise I would have smoked it.

I was happy with how the day went today. I improved alot all across the board. My back was kind of limiting the work I got out of my legs so I will add some high rep 15+ hipbelt squats sets to the end of the workout next time. I HAVE to start doing some ab and lower back stuff too.

July 25th 2005

ATLAS STONES: 300x3, 300x3, 300x3 + 340x1 Stay
- These where all to 54" platforms. I am going to go for 3 sets of 4 with the 300lb stone next time. Once I hit 300x5x5 then I will move up to a 325lb stone and shoot for the 5x5.

BENCH PRESS: 225x5, 275x5, 315x3, 365x1, 405x1 Increase
- All set where fairly easy. Time to look forward to 500! 11/6

INCLINE 13" LOG PRESS: 210x5, 260x3, 300x2, 325x2 - Increase
- I was only shooting for 325x1 so I was happy with the double. Gonna shoot for 340 next time. Once I hit 380 for a single I will attack it with more reps.

1/3 BENCH LOCKOUTS off pin: 405x3, 455x3, 500x2, 550x1 Increase
- Really did well on these today. Going to move the pins down one notch next time. 11

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x8, 55x8, 55x8- Increase
- Easy! Increase.

I was happy with how everything went today. I think I have a shot and getting good with the stones with some dedicated work. The little bit of extra rest really really helped. I did 2 days of *gulp* cardio prior to this workout.

July 27th 2005

LOG CLEANS: 210x5, 265x3, 300x1, 325x1, 355x1, 355x1 - Increase
- Very good today. Almost lost the 1st 350lb clean because the hand holes rotated out away from me too much. Got the second 355 easy.

BARBELL HANG CLEAN: 325x1, 365x1, 385x1 - Stay
- I hit the 385 this week but it was not easy. I could have easily missed it. I will redo these weights next time so I can nail the 385.

BARBELL ROWS: 365x5, 365x5, 365x5 Stay
- The extra weight on these this week helped. Much harder. I will use this weight again next week and try to do them more strict.

DUMBBELL ROWS: 165x5, 165x5, 165x5 - Stay
- Nice and hard. Will stay at this weight for next week.

JONES ROPE ROWS: 1 set w/100ft 2" rope - Stay
- These really burned me out. I will do these at the ned of my workouts next time. Eventually I will add weight. Want to get to the point where I am doing 3 sets of 100ft.

POWER STAIR ROWS: 410x6, 410x5 DNF - Stay
- Will stay at this weight until I hit 3x8. I was REALLY tired after these.

KARLSON ROWS: 225x5, DNF, DNF - Stay
- I had nothing left in the tank. Done........

I was happy with this workout. Made gains across the board and pushed my endurance. This is about all the exercises I will do in one sitting. Should result in good strength and endurance once i can complete the whole thing. Hopefully :)

Wow Lance ... that was a lot of volume. Do you ever run into problems with sustaining a program like that for very long? By the way, the weights look great - keep up the great work!!

Lance Peterson
07-27-2005, 10:12 PM
Thanks! On the upper back stuff I can really handle alot of work. But if I try to do too much leg or lower back stuff I crash big time.

Say do you know any of those guys in eastern iowa that do highland games stuff?

SBaier
07-27-2005, 10:15 PM
No I don't, but Geoff Dolan has me pretty interested in getting involved in the sport. He directed me to the North American association, and I saw that there are a few guys over there. I have met Chris Doyle before (Iowa's Strength Coach). He is pretty involved in HG. Do you compete in HG?

July 30th 2005

LOG PRESS: 210x3, 265x2, 300x1, 325x1, 350x0 - Stay
- 325 did not go up easy like I thought it should. I was weaving all over the place and it went like crap. 350 went up about 1/3 the way then I dumped it, not even close. I am using fairly strict form on these but I still thought I should have gotten the 350.

BARBELL PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 345x0 - Stay
- Same crap as last time the 345 got half way and I started moving all over. These I am using more leg drive. CRAP!

STANDING 1/4 PRESS: 315x3, 365x2, 415x1 - Increase
- These did not feel too bad. Finally did soemthign right this morning.

STANDING DUMBELL PRESSES: 90x5, 90x5, 90x5 - Increase
- These felt good. Somehow I got my lower body to lock down and get stable. That made these very easy. Jump to 100s next time.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x5, 55x2, DNF STAY
- Increased these an they where much harder. Stay till I hit 3x8

I am going to try to get into that locked lower body position on my log presses next time. I think it will help. After I hit 350 in a strictish manner I will start really using alot of leg drive to get the numbers up around my goal.

I am having a hell of a time getting into a natural pressing postition on the BB press. It is easier when I clean the weight and then press it. I will probably drop these out entirely for axle presses anyway. I need to get some more work with the axle.

It's time to start doing some core stuff too I think. Everything is really unstable in these overhead movements.

DEADLIFTS: 425x5, 475x5, 515x3, 565x2, 620x1, 650x0 - Increase
- Got the 5,5,3,2,1 this time out so increase by 20 next time out. I just about had the 650 past my sticking point. Things are moving along qiuckly now in regards to gains. I expect to get up past 700 in the next 2-3 months.

TIRE FLIP: 860x3, 860x3, 860x3 - Increase Reps
- Finally got the barn with a cement floor cleared out and it helped ton to do this on a nice cement surface. Didn't get my form down untill the last set. Go for 3 sets of 4 next time out.

DEADLIFT LOCKOUTS: 630x1, 730x1, 830x0 - Stay
- These felt very heavy today. Hopefully I can get the 730 a little easier next time and take a stab at 830.

STIFF LEG DEADS w/2" Axle: 275x8, 275x8, DND - Stay
- Should be able to get the last set of 8 next time then I will add weight.

HYPEREXTENSIONS: bwx8, bwx8, DND - Stay
I will nail 3sets of 8 next time.

Must be a rule that the temps have to be in the 90s with dew points in the 70s whenever I do deadlifts. Damn I would like a cool day just once ;) I did fairly well today, made gains in most everything. The tire flipping wrecked me though. I have a long road ahead to get those where they need to be. Chucked after the last set of tire. Hopefully I can nail the tire for sets of 4 next time. They are much easier on concrete!

Frame Carry: 460x50ft, 540x50ft, 640x25ft, 640x10ft, 640x0ft - Stay
- Frustrating to say the least. This is the 3rd bad FW/frame workout. I completely destroyed the first 2 sets. I was running. Then BANG I completely crapped out. Again the grip troubles. I know my grip is not this weak, I am going to sand down the handles and put a coat of paint on them. They have a bunch of dusty rust on them now and I thinking it is screwing me

13" CLOSE GRIP BENCH: 315x5, 315x5, 345x3, 375x1, 405x1 - Stay
- I attacked these after my crappy frame carry. All where fairly easy, had to grind out the 405. Next time I will add another single to the end of the sets. 12/5pin

1/4 CLOSE GRIP LOCKOUT: 405x3, 455x1, 500x1 - Increase
- Very easy, drop the pins next time with the same weight. 11pin

LYING DB EXT: 55x5, 55x5, 55x5 - Increase
- Not bad, add some weight

BB CURLS: 100x5, 120x5, 135x5 - Increase sets
- I will add another set of 135x5 here.

SEATED DB CURLS: 55x5, 55x5, 55x5 - Increase
- I will add weight next time out. Super easy.

This is my first good arm workout since I got back. Looking good for hitting my goals on the arm stuff. My farmer's walk is crap right now. I don't think I could have lost this much grip strength. At a small contest in may I did 350 for like 45ft and I felt good with those. I will try mod'ing the handles and see if that is the problem. If it is not the problem I am a big puss, and I will have to double up FW workouts.

SQUATS: 275x5, 365x5, 455x3, 550x1, 550x1 - Stay
- Not too bad on these. I finished the singles but not with the real explosion I want so..... I will do them again next session with the same weight.

SUPER YOKE: 490x100ft, 590x100ft, 700x100ft - Stay
- The first 2 sets where fast. But I had to set down on the last set like 4 times. The ground was too soft it felt like I was singking in side to side. Keep plugging away till I hit that 700x100 w/no drops. Also discovered that a wide stance makes my walk much more unstable.

SUPER YOKE LOCKOUTS: 790x3, 890x3, 1000x1 Increase
- Hit the 1000lb mark easy so I will now drop the height down a couple notchs.

DRAGS: 590x15ft - Stay
- Shit this felt like a 1000lbs today. I even tried dropping down to 490 like last session, which I smoked, but it would not budge. The yoke was leaving a 1" divot path so I assume that it was harder cus it was sinking in? Anyway, I felt good before I started them so I bet I will do well next time.

ZERCHER SQUATS: 320x8, DND, DND

Hit some increased weights this session so I am ok with it. Did the best I could on the yoke and drag considering. The zercher squats at the end will work really well to burn my quads out. I am feeling all the other stuff more in my hips so I want to keep my quad strength up.

ATLAS STONES: 300x3, 300x3, 300x3 - 54" platform Stay
- I realized this afternoon that I screwed up last time and used the 280lb stone, so I switched it out with the 300lb stone. This was a good bit harder with the actual 300lbr ;) Probably 2 more session before I can jump to the 325 stone. The first set I did in one motion, first 2 of the second set, then the last set I had to lap the stone each time. Gotta hit 3x5s before I will move up.

BENCH PRESS: 275x5, 315x5, 365x3, 405x1, 405x0 Stay
- Easy easy easy, then I just crashed. I felt like shit all of a sudden and I called her.

22lb BRAEMAR STONE: 25ft, 25ft, 25ft, 28ft, 28ft, 28ft, 30ft, 30ft, 31ft
- I will try to work my way up to ten throws on days I do Highland Games after a workout. When I do HG stuff on off days I will probably shoot for 2-3 different throws each w/10throws each or so.

I did not eat enough today and by the time I was done with work I was wiped out big time. Kind of felt shitty from the begining on the stones. I got alot of work to do on those before I am "up there".

Gonna start adding some throwing and Highland Games stuff to my workouts. Mostly on off days but today was a good chance to get some work in. It's a lot of fun!

Nice to see you adding the throws to your workouts! I may follow your lead and do some throwing on my off days... it is amazing how much power you can develop when you are in throwing condition! Great workout!

It was alot of fun but my technique was well, less than stelar :disgust: I did some trhowing in high school so hopefully I can pick up the form quickly. I would like to hit 35ft on this by the end of the year.

LOG CLEANS: 210x8, 245x8, 275x6 - Stay
- Made improvements, I will hit that 275x8 next time.

2" AXLE Clean: 305x1, 335x1, 355x1 - Increase
- Not easy, but as I get my form down I make make improvements quickly. Double overhand on the 1st & second set. Alternating grip on the last one.

2" AXLE ROWS: 305x5, 305x5, 305x5 Increase
- Super easy, did these with alternating grip. Switched hands each set. Jump up to 325 next time.

I didn't have much time to workout so this is all I could get in for the day. All in all I was happy with how everything went. Just gotta keep making gains....

Cleaning that much weight double overhand is pretty damn studly. What do you think you can deadlift double overhand on the axle?

Lance Peterson
08-12-2005, 10:23 PM
Man I have no idea? Maybe over 500 or so? Should have noted in there though that the last 2 sets where continentals. First one was straight to chest, second set I almost got to my chest, last set I had to continental big time.

13" LOG PRESS: 210x8, 240x8, 270x8 - Increase
- I attacked the last set and got the 8 without too much trouble. I doubled the 4 I got last time on the last set. Very happy with these. I will bump the weight up by 10lbs next time out.

2" AXLE PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 345x0 - Stay
- These felt great as well. 1st three set where easy. I was outta gas by the last set though. I have a good feeling I will nail it next time.

STANDING 1/4 PRESS: 315x3, 365x2, 415x1 - Increase
- I increase the ROM by standing on a 45lb plate. I will stand on 2 next time.

STANDING DUMBBELL PRESS: 105x4, 105x3, 105x3 - Stay
- These where tough after all the shoulder work I already did. I think I might make a run at 3x5 next time.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x5, 55x5, 55x5 - Stay
Shoot for 3x8 next time out.

All in all a good day. My pressing is coming along. Probably 2-3 more sessions and I will start doing the overhead stuff with more leg drive and dipping.

Lance Peterson

Yep off the top supports of my rack. To increase the ROM motion I stand on 45lb plates. After I add another 45lbr it should be a 1/3 press.

DEADLIFTS: 445x5, 500x5, 540x3, 585x2, 640x1, 675x0 - Increase
- Got the 5,5,3,2,1 this time out so increase by 20 next time out. I am making some quick gains here. I did manage to break the 675 off the ground a bit but my back was just too fried. I am thinking I should hit 660 for a single next time.

TIRE FLIP: 860x4, 860x4, 860x4 - Increase Reps
- Sweet I hit my goal here on the tire. I did not expect this at all! So I will shoot for 3x5 next time up. For my most hated event, I am making some decent strides here.

DEADLIFT LOCKOUTS: 630x1, 730x1, 830x0 - Stay
- Got the 730 without too much trouble. Went for 830 and I just died. I totally ran out of gas for the day.

I think the tire took it's toll on me today. It really screwed up the lockouts and the rest of my workout. It's only going to get worse next time when I go for 3x5 so I might as well buckle down and expect it. I need to make sure to do those assistance exercises next time!

I kinda hurt one of my bi's cleaning an axle one under one over!

I think it will be fine as long as a guy uses his lats to do the movement and does not try to curl the bar. The first time I did over-under grip I thought it was crap because I kind of curled the bar.

Frame Carry: 460x50ft, 540x50ft, 640x50ft, 640x50ft, S710x50ft - Increase
- Much much better this time out. Whatever the problem was it kind of took care of itself. The first 640lb set I was moving very very fast with, second set was alot slower. Strapped up and took 710 for a ride, started out slow but finished with a very good pace. Gonna bump up the weights 20-30 lbs next time.

13" CLOSE GRIP BENCH: 315x5, 315x5, 345x3 - Stay
- I was running out of time tonight so I cut these short.

BB CURLS: 100x5, 120x5, 135x5 - Increase sets
- I will add another set of 135x5 here.

I ran out of time tonight so that kind of sucked, but made some good gains in the Frame Carry. The big boys are moving 720-750 so I have a good fight ahead of me to get up there. Just keep plugging away.

Gonna move the workout frequency up a bit too, I feel like I am getting into shape finally so I think I will be able to handle it. Kind of cut back too much here lately.

It's horribly sad but I was actually sore today from playing 18 holes on the golf course yesterday, WTF......

Looks like you're having fun with this! I broke out my shots after we talked last, and have been throwing for GPP. It's amazing how much my strength has helped with my standing put, but my extra bodyweight is slowing me down across the ring. I've also tried to follow some of the HG rules on throws, and it is going well. I think we should do the HG in Iowa next year ... there are about 3 or 4 and another one in Souix Falls.

Throwing is very fun, I was sore in some places I didn't think I would be after the session. That would be a hell of alot of fun to do some HG contests next season. Say what is the one in Sioux Falls called???

Hi Chris good to hear from you! I am happy because I have been able to put togehter a decent string of training. No contests for me till next year. Maybe the Snowman and some other Pro-ams early next year. There was basically one every month at the begining of the season last year. I am on track to hit most of my year end goals, minus the weight thing. I wanted to be down around 325 or so. I am larded out at about 365lbs right now. So soon its going to be :C: time :(

How is your training coming along man?

SQUATS: 550x1, 550x1 - Increase
- These went easy. So I will move up 25lbs next time.

Thanks Shawn, I will defently be in for some shows next season!

Hi Chris, I have got my log clean form down pat finally. Basically I was trying to roll the thing up and it did not work so well because it would hit my belly. I started doing my cleans like D.Norris does them: http://www.marunde-muscle.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1113 Kind of squating the log up.

I put the log on my knees and squat down deep. I scoot the log so it is just touching my chest/stomach ;) I set the handles so they are forming an almost 90deg angle with the ground. Then I pull the log into my body, while still in the squat position, and stand up at the same time. LOCK YOUR LATS AND ARMS HARD. For me the log ends up sitting on the top of my belly/sternum area. Then I just give my wrists a flick at the very top of the movement and I have it cleaned. I think the technique would work well for ya.

13" LOG CLEANS: 210x5, 265x3, 300x1, 355x1, 405x1 - Stay
- I think I have got my form down pat on the log clean. The 405 was about all I had though. The end of the lift was sloppy so I will repeat this and see if I can hit the 405 cleanly. Then I will take a shot at 435.

BARBELL HANG CLEAN: 325x1, DND, DND - Stay
- After my 325lb clean I noticed my Olympic Training Bar is nearly completely seized up. When I turn it it makes a metal on metal grinding noise so hopefully the bearing just need some oil. I hope it is fine cus I don't have the cash for a new one.

BARBELL ROWS: 365x5, 365x5, 365x5 Increase
- Too easy add some weight. Probably bump her up to 405.

DUMBBELL ROWS: 170x5, 170x5, 170x5 - Increase
- I will bump the weight up to around 180 next time.

POWER STAIR ROWS: 450x8 - Stay
- Will stay at this weight until I hit 3x8.

I was very very surprised to hit the 405 today in log cleans. That is a massive jump from where I was at last time. I have really got my form tuned in there. If the Olympic training bar i ruined it won't be too big of a deal, I will switch to axle training instead. Hell maybe it's a good thing.....

LOG PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 340x1, 365x0 - Stay
- The 340 went up easy. I might have been able to double it. 365 crushed me.

2" AXLE PRESS: 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 345x0 - Stay
- I just about got the 345, lost it forward though. I will hit the 345 in strict style before I use a bunch of leg drive!

STANDING DUMBELL PRESSES: 115x5, 115x5, 115x5 - Increase
- Did these in a strict press form, some back lean. Gonna jump up to 125s or 130s next time.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x5, 55x5, 55x5 Increase reps
- Gotta start increasing reps on these

Good workout today. Made improvements across the board. Gotta keep my nose to the grindstone and I am hoping to crush my goals by the end of the year.

28lb WEIGHT FOR DISTANCE: 44.75ft, 49.5ft, 49.5ft, 53.75ft, 50.25ft, 50.25ft, 50.75ft, 47.5ft, 47ft, 54.75ft, 53.75ft

22lb BRAEMAR STONE: 32.5ft, 31.75ft, 33.75ft, 33.5ft, 33ft, 32ft

- Not too bad today with my HG throwing. First time I have tried the WFD so I did a single spin. On the last one I ripped off two calluses so I had to stop. I feel like there is another 5ft there in the single spin for me to go after right away.

On my Bramar stone I just didn't have much left in the tank. I should hit 35ft without much problem when I am fresh. This stuff takes alot more out of a guy then you think it would, I am TIRED!

---------------------------

Sept 16th 2005

DEADLIFTS: 465x5, 520x5, 560x3, 605x2, 660x1 - Stay
- Got the 5,5,3,2,1 this time but I did not get the 660 clean. There was a slight hitch and it was a loooonnnnggg pull. Sooo, I will use the same weights next time and nail it with some authority.

TIRE FLIP: 860x3, 860x3, 860x3 - Increase Reps
- The deads really fried my back. I could not get 3x4 like last time so I slid a bit here. Deads will not take so much out of me next time. I will hit 3x4.

STIFF LEG DEADLIFTS W/2" Axle: 300x5, 300x5, 300x5 - Stay
- Shoot for 3x8 next time.

Not much to say about this workout. Kind of average. No big moves and some sliding back.

FRAME: 460x50ft, 540x50ft, 640x50ft, 640x50ft Increase
- Damn my grip is fried. I did not do these as well as I had hoped. Gonna drop the first set and go 570, 670, 670. I will get that 700lbs soon. I have been doing grip work on my off days and it might be too much.

13" CLOSE GRIP BENCH: 315x5, 345x3, 375x1, 405x1, 435x0 - Stay
- I destroyed the 405, but then totally crapped out on the 435. I think I have a good chance of hitting it next time. That would put me only 30lbs away of my year end goal.

BB CURLS: 135x5, 135x5, 135x5- Increase
- Way to easy. Jump up to 155 next time on all three sets.

Things went well today. The close grips felt GREAT today, tons of explosion. I think that I should crush my 465 year end goal on that lift. Hitting 750lbs on the frame carry by year end is gonna be tough, gotta keep pushing.

Gonna break out my shot loaded Inch Dumbbell tomorrow and see how much I can pull on that. Gotta do some Highland Games stuff too. Might try a 56lb WFD.

SQUATS: 405x5, 405x5, 455x3, 500x2, 550x1, 600x0 Stay
- All the sets felt fine. Came close on the 600, but could not bring it out of the hole.

SUPER YOKE: 500x100ft, 600x100ft, 700x100ft, 800x25ft - Stay
- For some reason 700lbs felt easier today then last time and was quicker. But 800 could have just as well been a 1000. Had nothing left for it.

SUPER YOKE LOCKOUTS: 800x3, 900x3, 1000x1 Increase Reps
- Should have done more reps, got a little lazy

DRAGS: 490x50ft - Stay
- Thats it for today.

I am not doing enough lower body work. If I am gonna hit 700 in the squat by January I better start sucking it up and doing this more often. It looks like I should hit 800lbs in the super yoke for 100ft with no drops as long as I keep training hard. Hopefully next session I can get the 800 to 50ft with no drops and then try and go another 10-25ft.

ATLAS STONES: 300x5, 300x3, 345x1 - 54" platform Increase Reps
- The first set was actually fairly easy at 5 reps. I will hit 5 on the second set next time for sure. Then I will hope to hit 345x2. I am in the process of making a 18", 20", & 22" set of steel molds so when I get those done I will make a full set of Pro-weight stones to use. Then I will shoot for 325x5. I think once I can do a set of 350x5 at this height I will be competitive.

BENCH PRESS: 315x5, 365x3, 405x1 Stay
- I almost hit a second rep with 405. Should get her easy next time then I will shoot for a 455 single. Need to get a spotter on these, as I was kind of freaking out. 11/5

1/2 BENCH LOCKOUTS: 405x3, 455x1, 500x0 Stay
- Moved the pin down so this was difficult today. The 500 basically was hovering but was going nowhere! 9pin

DUMBELL CHEST FLYS: 65x8, 65x8, 65x8 Increase Reps
- Easy, bump up to 3x12 next time.

- I am very happy with my Inch deads. They where SUPER easy. The thing is a shot loaded replica. I ran out of shot otherwise I would have got her up to around 200lbs. I am going to pick up another 30-40lbs of shot for next time. My hands where fried after the dumbell so I missed the 230lbs on rolling thunder. Weight for distance went ok, I need more form work I think. That and a new set of calluses on my hand, I lost most of them again during the throwing!

13" LOG CLEANS: 210x8, 255x8, 305x5 - Increase Reps
- Jumped 30lbs on the last set from what I did last time. Too big of a jump. I was not into it 100% and the result was a sloppy set that took 10 years. Shoot for some more reps and quicker next time.

2" AXLE CLEANS: 305x1, 355x1, 365x1 - Increase
- Bumped the weights up on these and I am very happy with the results. The 335 was easy. Felt like I had 2 left in me on that set. Double overhand on the 1st two sets, over-under on the last set.

2" AXLE ROWS: 365x3, 365x3, 365x3 Increase Reps
- Not too hard, increase reps next time. Use a over-under grip on these

DUMBBELL ROWS: 170x5 Stay
Had nothing left, it was time to stop.

Thanks guys! Cleaning and high pulls have always been one of my strong points. I have my eye on 400lb axle clean. Jesse, I am slimming down. Wanna get down to 325 or so for competitions next season. At that bodyweight, with some cardio work, I should have the endurance end of things cleaned up.

13" LOG PRESS: 225x8, 255x8, 285x5- Stay
- Did good on the first two sets. Puss'd out big time on the last one. Should have kept going. Using a little leg drive now. Gonna transition into full leg drive over the next couple months.

2" AXLE PRESS: 275x1, 325x1, 365x0 - Stay
- For the life of me I cannot press out of the rack so I took these off a barrel to my gut then continentaled it up to my shoulders. First two super easy. Thennnn, I could not continental the 365 up. Grrrrrrrrrrr

VIKING PRESS: 360x14, 450x5 - Stay
- My unit is parallel at chest height, weight is 4 ft from the handles, & is 7ft in total length. 360 was mega easy. 450 was not so easy, gonna take the 450 and shoot for 8 reps with it next time.

DUMBBELL FLYS: 55x6, 55x6, 55x6 Stay
- These felt about right. Add more reps

Not too bad of a day. Since my cleans are way ahaed of my pressing soooo I may switch the Clean day with the Press day so I am doing my cleans the day or so after my pressing. The way I am doing it right now I can feel the clean day taking it's toll on my pressing. I think there is alot of pressing power left in me as is right now.

Actually the whole video setup was really cheap!

1. I got my video camera for like $130. It's a Cannon ES60, nothing fancy but it works fine. You can get em on Ebay for less than $50 now.
2. The card that goes in the computer that hooks the camera into the computer was like $10. It had a $30 rebate.
3. I am using Ulead Video Studio. Got it for free from a friend.

So all in all it ended up costing me around $140. Now you could get a setup going for around $50 or $60 I bet. The more guys posting vids the better I say!

TIRE FLIP: 860x5, 860x5, 860x5 - Stay
- Hit my goal of 3x5 but I really should have done alot better. 7-8 flips should be in me now if I don't puss out. Got the video of my last set of 5 and it was SLOW I was TIRED. BAD! Once I can do 8 flips I will really start trying to go after the speed!

DEADLIFTS: 560x3, 605x2, 660x1 - Increase
- When I do tire before deads I drop the first 2 sets of 5 off. Bump the weights up 20lbs next time.

24" DEADLIFTS: 660x1, 765x1, 855x1- Increase
- Got all these without too much trouble. Start with 765 next time.

STIFF LEG DEADLIFTS W/2" AXLE: 360x5, 360x5, 360x5 - Stay

Oct 12th 2005

Lunch Grip Messaround:
1. Did 2 full deadlifts with my shot loaded Inch Replica. I had the weight at 232lbs and I BARELY got these to a full lockout position. I don't know if these shot loaded globes are easier or harder than the solid steel ones though. There is hardly any room left to add more weight so I hope it is not making it an easier lift. If the lifts are similar in difficulty, I think I have a good shot at fully deadlifting the Millenium Dumbell. A local guy has one so I hope to make a trip up to visit and take a shot at it soon.

2. 6 failures at deadlifting a 50lb york blob. I such at this grip event. Just keep trying I guess....

3. 3 Ironmind #3 Gripper Closes: Fairly easy, I still can't do a no set close though. Failed on a #3 with my left hand.

FRAME CARRY: 540x35ft, 650x35ft, 740x0ft. 740x7ft Stay
- VERY happy with this today. It was too wet outside so I moved indoors to a concrete surface. Concrete is good but I can only go 35ft at a time because that is the width of the cement pad. I think next time I might make a run at 20ft+ with 740. I felt like I could go well into 50ft+ with the 650.

13" CLOSE GRIP BENCH: 315x5, 370x3, 410x1, 440x0 - Stay
- Got too far ahead of myself on that last set. Should have just gone for 400.

BB CURLS: 155x3, 155x3, 155x3 - Stay
- Nice and hard, shoot for a 3x5

Shooting for 50ft in the frame carry. Most contests this season seemed to have that approx distance. Most of my year end goals are all based on finishing pro-weight apparatus at the pro distances. Once I can finish all the weights+distance I will start shooting for increased speed more reps etc.

SUPER YOKE: 600x37ft, 600x37ft, 700x37ft, 800x37ft, 900x37ft, 1000x15ft - Stay
- Moved into the barn that had cement today. Bad thing is there is only 37-40ft of runway. So these are short sprints. The 900/1000lb runs where frankenstein style, but they where both big PRs. I was happy all around with these today. There is a 85 ft dirt floor run in the same barn I just have to clear it out. I will do a setdown with the yoke and pick it back up next time out 3x which will give me about 110ft total until I get the 80ft run it cleared out.

SQUATS: 455x3, 500x2, 550x1, 600x1 Increase
- VERY EASY 600, 650 will fall next time! I watched a bunch of squat videos last night to try and get my squating corrected. I think I have it all figured out. I decided on a "fat man" style squat (aka low-bar wide stance) because:
1. I am fat and have terrible flexability across my shoulders.
- So the out wide hand placement feels much better and I feel like I control the bar better.
2. I have wide hips.
- So the putting my feet 6-8"+ outside of my shoulders feels very controlled AND STRONG!
3. I tip forward all the time with my squats.
- Moving the bar further down my back feels much better, feels like I am staying upright.
note: My former squat style was feet right at shoulder width. Bar high. Hands narrow on the bar. I really like how strong squating like this looks, but I CANNOT do it. Time to stop being so bull headed and start doing what works for me.

Videos:
Super Yoke 800lbs x 37ft (http://www.brutestrength.com/forum/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=si&img=614)

Super Yoke 1000lbs x 15ft (http://www.brutestrength.com/forum/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=si&img=616)

Today I was very happy with everything. Things are looking good in regards to getting my yoke walk going. Need to work on some speed but things are moving in the right direction. SQUATS SQUATS SQUATS, I think I finally have it all figured out. I would be cool to hit 700lbs by years end raw, but who knows.

ATLAS STONES: 300x7, 345x1 - 54" platform Increase Reps
- Almost got my 8 reps with the 300 this time out. First 6 reps where all one motion reps. Shaved around 4-5sec off my 5 stone time last time. 345 went up much much easier this time. Really could have launched that stone but I was a bit tenative. Gonna shoot for 300x8 & 345x3 next time out. Probably will pour a 380ish stone to use for singles as well.

2" AXLE BENCH PRESS: 250x5, 300x3, 340x2, 390x1 Stay

Atlas Stone - 345x1 (http://www.brutestrength.com/forum/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=si&img=620)

Fairly pleased this time out. 300x8 will fall next time. Once I hit that I will just jump up to the 345 stone and start shooting for 345x5. TIRE FLIP: 865x5, 865x3, 865x3 STAY
- I was not expecting much more today from this. The 5 felt not too bad though. I had trouble finding a grip on a couple reps but not too bad I guess.

DEADLIFT: 600x3, 640x1, 680x0 STAY

- I got these without too much trouble. Jump up to 500 on the last set.

LAYING DUMBBELL EXT: 85x5, 85x3, 85x3
- These were heavy. I will work my way up to a 3x8 with these weights.

2" AXLE CURLS: 105x8, 125x6, 145x4, 155x2 Increase
- These felt good today. All were done fairly strict exept for the set of two. Feel the burn

2" AXLE REVERSE CURLS: 95x8 Increase
- I will do an extra set of eight next time.

SEATED DUMBBELL CURLS: 65x8, 65x5, 65x5 Stay
- Gotta shoot to hit a 3x8 before I will bump up the weight.

SUPER YOKE: 490x37ft, 490x37ft, 670x37, 770x37, 850x37ft, 850x37ft Stay
- I was hoping for a better performance on these today but I will take it. I got all sets without any drops and the 850 I did in 10 or 11 seconds. I kinda wanted to get down below 9 seconds, but this was not all that bad. I was kind of having problems with stability. I can feel my lower body REALLY wanting to take off.

PARALLEL BOX SQUATS: 410x3, 410x3, 460x2, 500x1, 550x0 Stay
- The 500 went up really easy, but my back started to tighten up really bad and I sucked huge on the 550. Hopefully I can get it next time.

FRONT SQUATS: 135x5, 135x5, 175x3, 175x3, 225x1 Stay
- I just keep tipping the hell over on these. So I went back to the basics and worked on my form. Things seem to be fixed.

2" AXLE BENCH: 300x5, 350x3, 400x2, 440x0 Stay
- Nt really all that close on that last set. I felt GREAT on the way down but I didn't get anything off my chest to get her going. Just keep plugging away at it!

2" AXLE 1/2 Bench: 400x1, 400x1, 450x0 Stay
- Kinda crapped out on these. I should get all three next time.

DUMBBELL CHEST FLYS: 85x8, 85x8, 85x8 Increase
Jump up to 100lbrs next time, this was way too easy.

2" AXLE CLEANS: 250x3, 300x1, 350x1, 400x0, 400x0 Stay
- I did not get myself properly warmed up I think on these. I felt like I should have taken down the 400lbr this week. Just gotta keep pushing.

13" LOG CLEANS: 300x3, 350x1, 400x1, 400x1 Increase
- I was upset with my bad performace on the axle so I really took it to these cleans. I nailed the 400 to the wall today. The first one was actually fairly easy. The second a bit more iffy, but still good. VERY VERY happy with this. I think I might be good for 420 next time out. Plus on a regular log I can do 20-30lbs or so more. So I think my cleans are sitting VERY good right now.

2" AXLE ROWS: 400x3, 400x3, 400x3 Stay
- These were all fairly hard. I think I can hit a 3x5 next time though.

DUMBBELL ROWS: 200x5, 200x5, 200x5 Stay
- I will go after a 3x8 next time then add weight

2" AXLE PRESS: 165x5, 250x3, 300x1, 350x1, 380x0 Stay
- YES, I got that stupid 350 finally! It was REALLY EASY. I think I probably could have done two with it. The 380 was going, I just couldn't get her past my sticking point. HELL YEAH!

2" AXLE STARTS: 400x1, 400x1, 400x1 Stay
- Just working on really exploding the bar up. I was actually getting these up to about forhead level. So I am getting stronger!

2" AXLE LOCKOUTS: 350x1, 350x1, 400x1 Increase
- The 400 barely went but I did hit it. I was standing on a plate to increase ROM. I will stand on some bumper plates next time to increase ROM more.

13" Log Press: 305x4 Stay
- This was a big jump in weight from the 270 I did last time. This is a for reps set. Goal is to hit 305x8. Got a wase to go but I will take this performance today. It really was a big jump. Next time I wanna get 6 reps.

STANDING SIDE LATERALS: 65x5, 65x5, 65x5 Stay
- I will go after a 3x8 next time.

SUPER YOKE: 490x37ft, 490x37ft, 670x37, 770x37, 850x10 Stay
- I took it really easy on these today. Started out really slow to sorta feel out my back. It was great up untill the 850 then I could kinda feel a bad stretching going on so I dropped it after 10ft and called it good on these. I did do the 770 in like 7-8 seconds though so that was fairly good I guess.

PARALLEL BOX SQUATS: 410x3, 410x3, 460x2, 500x1, 550x0 Stay
- All where very easy and I was really really close on the 550.

FRONT SQUATS: 135x5, 175x5, 225x2 Stay
- Better, I am starting to get the feeling for these I think. Once I do the 225x5 I will bump up the weight.

DEADLIFTS: 410x1x12 35sec
- I thought I would try doing some speed work I guess. I wanna get in some extra deadlifts each month so this should work. I will only move the weight up on these when I move up on my regular deadlift day, which is now a strict 5x5 system.

GOOD MORNINGS W/AXLE: 160x5, 210x5, 250x3 Stay
- I will hit that 225 for 5 next time then start adding weight.

HYPEREXT: BW+25 x 8, BW+25 x 8, BW+25 x 8 Stay
- Gonna work on really squezing my back hard next time on these.

13" LOG INCLINE PRESS: 265x5, 305x5, 325x3, 345x1, 365x1, 385x0 Stay
- I will start the sets with 305 next time. I got the 385 about 6in off my chest so hopefully I will nail it next time.

2" AXLE BENCH: 300x5, 350x3, 400x1, Increase
- Increase all the sets by 20lbs next time.

DUMBBELL CHEST FLYS: 85x8, 85x8, 85x8 Increase
- I should have increased these like planned but I was feeling weak. Jump to 100s next time.

FRAME CARRY: 535x35ft, 635x35ft, 715x20ft Stay
- Made it further with the 715 today. Actually I felt awesome on the pickup and the walk but once again my stupid left hand burst loose on me. It is really annoying because it is just like the stupid thing goes, no warning. My right side felt AWESOME. With some grip work I will be running with the 715 in no time.

13" CLOSE GRIP BENCH: 320x5, 370x3, 410x2, 440x0 Stay
- Couldn't get that 440 today. Give her a shot again next time

1/3 CLOSE GRIP LOCKOUTS: 460x1, 460x1, 500x0 Stay
- Moved up on these today. Much harder. Once I hit the 500 I will move the pins down a notch.

LAYING DUMBBELL EXT: 85x5 Stay
- Started running out of gas here so I only did one set. Shoot for a 3x5.

2" AXLE CURLS: 125x8, 145x6, 155x4 Stay
- I jumped up in weight on these today. Form was a bit sloppy so I will stick with these weights till I hit it clean.

BARBELL HANGS: BWx20sec, BWx20sec, BWx20sec Increase
- Thought I better start working on my grip some more so I added these in today. Bodyweight around 340lbs and I held eac set for 20sec. I will shoot for sets of 30sec next time. Then I suppose I will add weights.

TIRE FLIP: 865x5, 865x5 STAY
- I seem to be getting a better handle on this event finally. It is not such a killer anymore. Just gotta work on getting that tire moving faster. I need to practice being down and ready by the time that tire hits the ground after each rep. I am losing 6-8 seconds right there over 50ft. So for 50ft my current time is about 28sh. I should be able to get that down around 22sh with some technique work.

DEADLIFT: 500x5, 550x5, 600x3 STAY
- I will add weight once I can hit 600x5 on that last set. I think this will work really well for me instead of doing all the singles.

DEADLIFT LOCKOUTS: 600x1x12 30sec rest Increase
- On these I set the bar at just above my knees. This is my weak spot, the weak spot is lower back. So I am straightening my legs out and just lifting with my lower back. No cheating on these. I could really feel it.

2" AXLE SLDL: 250x5, 300x5, 300x5 Stay
- I am doing these off of a couple bumper plates. The bar is right above my shoes. I am only pulling up just to my knees here. Make the last set 350x5 next time.

HYPEREXT: bw+25 x 8, bw+25 x 8 Stay
- I need to do 3 sets of 8 on these next time.
