Does anyone know where to get grass fed filet mignon? I checked on Grassland and they dont seem to carry it. Also, does anyone know how to properly prepare filet mignon? Ive been so addicted to it lately, its SOOOOOO GOOOOOD but at 40 bucks a pop its an expensive addiction.

When I make filet, I marinate it overnight in a mix of A-1, worcestshire(sp?), liquid smoke, garlic, and oregano. I cook mine rare on a charcoal grill and it just falls apart in your mouth. It makes a good sandwich on garlic bread too.

I am a big fan of garlic. Heat the pan up with virgin oil chop up some onions and garlic let it heat up and then add your fish. Cook some asparugus on the side.

oh i love filet so much i actually took a cooking class to learn some bad ass ways to prepare it. my favorite was to pan sear it when it's raw and then bake it afterward....seals in all the flavor and juices.

That seems pretty advanced .... and tastey!.... do you sear it in butter? for how long and what temp do you bake it at...
I ate a fillet at Ruths Chris once and that place was feakin' awesome.. I think they sear their steaks in the same fashion

yup it comes out just like ruth's chris...YUM! you got it...pan sear in butter on each side and the corners 'till it's a tad crispy then bake it "slow and low" at about 325 degrees until it's cooked how you like. it's really not that hard at all and so worth it!

Killa, I'll give it a shot.
I just tried plank grilled steak the other day... it is awesome as well.. they took a thin plank of cedar wood and put it on the grill... then placed the meat on the plank. Bad Ass Smokey Flavour!!!
