I'm sure most of us have seen an episode or two of pros vs. joes. Seems like a decent way to build interest in SM is to do something similar but have pro athletes from different disciplines compete against pro strongmen.

Kinda like the thing that Brengel did with evan and jaron, but with actual athletes.

LW and HW Pros would both be able to get exposure since there are a lot of pro athletes closer to LW than HW in size.

I remember that one WSM from a while back where the pro football player competed. DOn't remember how well he did, but it was pretty interesting.

Seems like it'd be a good draw.

Having a pro-strongman on "Pros vs. Joes" would help bring exposure to the sport as well.

For instance, you could have Pfister (or any other Pro Strongman you wanted to use) and the "Joe" race against one another in the farmer's walk. Give Pfister 300 pound weights to carry and the Joe 150 pound weights, or something similar.

agreed

I've actually had people mention Brengel's bit on TV to me. Mostly because they know I'm into strongman, but the fact that they remembered it is pretty impressive.

that would be awesome. or simply have pro strongman for one show compete against the average joes. Even one show would be awesome.

I'd like to see pro strongman and some pro athletes. I would love to see how a 6'7 350 pound offensive lineman does in some of these events. I know some football players do train strongman a little so...Not to mention just being huge and having great strength would make it fun to watch. Not that i'm saying a pro strongman would lose to a pro athlete of another sport, but i think some could give them a nice run.
