Anyone know of any good sites to get a pair of olympic weightlifting shoes? I'll be competing twice this summer so I figured it'd be a good idea to finally get my first pair.
How is the sizing with these? Do I wear socks with them?

It depends on the shoe, but i know some run .5-1 size bigger. At least some of the ones i know of do. If anything else wear a couple pair of socks.

I got mine from dynamic-fitness.com, but I bought the most expensive ones. I had no knowledge of brands so I just went with the shoe I saw most of the lifters in the olympics wearing: adistar by adidas. as for the sizing I went to a rack room shoe store and tried on about 5 pairs of dress shoes and took the average size and used that as oly shoe size. when i got the shoes and tried them on they certainly felt a little snug but not tight and eventually broke in so now they feel perfect. i would recommend doing that.
hope that helps man.

I wear mine from Adidas without socks on. I found that with socks my heal was sliding in and out of the back of the shoe. Good luck!

THe only problem with not wearing socks, is that you'll find you have to replace shoes more often, at least if you live in florida and train in garages like we do. My training partner has went through 2 pairs of adistars and is already eating through a pair of Adistar Weightlifting because he doesn't wear socks with them (he does now). This is all in the same time that I've had and used my DoWin shoes (which are more durable than the Adidas in my opinion).
If there is no sock to soak up the sweat, it's gonna go into the leather... and once it soaks all the way through it will weaken the shoe.
I am only replacing my dowins now because I had the heel milled down and the cobbler botched them... plus I think I over-thought the heel being an issue (dowins have a heel about 3/4" steeper than the adidas and about 1/2" higher than Werksan).
