I'm had some success with lighter fluid. Use a decent amount of it and rub it out. On some pieces of clothing I've had a complete recovery.

I still can't believe you guys. Lifting stones with clothes on? What the hell is wrong with you guys? Don't you know all the best guys practice the way the ancient strongmen did? They did it in their birthday suits like real men. Sure there were injuries, but you lived with the scar and were happy to have a new story to tell. :disgust:

Soup made from the insides of the band members

At least it was a Pats shirt and nothing serious! :FF:
I used baby oil on an shirt and it worked alright, I didn't sweat it though it was an old work shirt

Yeah, I'm not particularly concerned about anything that has tacky on it now, it's just that anytime I'm going to train and I cant find my tacky shorts, i have to sacrifice another pair of shorts to The Tacky. I would prefer it if I didnt end up with 8 pairs of shorts suitable only for competitions and training days.

use the lighter fluid, then ignite it...the stains will be gone.

Hmm... maybe I choose the right fabric for workout pants/shorts because generally speaking, after a few washes, the tacky is gone. This, of course, never happens with shirts.

I just try to wear one shirt and shorts for stones. I'll take my tackied shorts with me and wear them all day and maybe change out of them after I do stones and drive home.
I am gonna experiment with soaking the tackied stuff in some detergent this summer before I wash it. I have learned to wash all items with tacky on them separately from any other pieces of clothing.
