Nice looking site. Good ''feel'' and easy to navigate around. Vids are always cool, I'd love to see lots of gyms lifts, squats, front squats, push presses, oly lifts.....the bio stuff is cool too, shows most pro's are actually normal guys with careers/families etc.

Awesome!! Appreciate you creating the site and adding all the info and media!! It will be cool to track your progress in this sport.

Nice Funeral Home link too...haha!

Thanks for all the feedback! My main goal is to have mostly pics and vids on the site as that seems to be what most people want to see.
Quick question to everyone: Would ya'll find it fun/interesting to request a "feat of strength" for me or my training partner (Jacob El Chupacabra Miskimens) to perform then post up? We would take suggestions for a bit then decide on one and perform it on vid. Now I know you guys can think up some pretty sick sh*t but we would TRY to do one that we thought was actually feasible. Maybe once a month or every other month as the competing and training would allow? Also what about a contest report section? All opinions and thoughts are VERY welcome!

I think that is a cool idea, Marshall.

First up: 400 stone for reps. I expect nothing less than 15. :mag:

contest reports FOR SURE. By far my favorite part of Travis O's website.

The feat of strength thing would be pretty freaking cool too. Kinda like fan requests.

Marshall., it's great getting your perspective of your shows, so definetly writeups. Feat of strenght would be fun, 800 yoke for 50ft, 350 farmers, 600 backwards drag and finish with tire for 50, that would be motivating!

Marshall,
great site. I would have to agree that pics and video are going to get the most responses. contest write-ups and an actual contest sheet would be good as well.
I was actually looking at putting a site together myself for the Wisconsin crew with pics and video and training as well. I just need to find someone that does website design so it doesn't look like a 4th grader did it.

No way...a website that looks like it was drawn in crayon would be cool! Thanks for the input Jason...always appreciated.

Ok so I will try to put this feats of strength thing on as well...remember though...keep it realistic (800lb squatx 20reps is not a realistic thing for me) the 400 stone for reps I like my best is 385x10 so maybe I could put up 15 but I would be DYING!!! But if you ask for it...I'll give it my best effort...time limits? platform height?

P.S. Now I gotta make a 400lb stone! Hahahahahahahaha

Eric Jett

No time limit I say, but less than 10 minutes would be a good goal.

Platform height...lowest platform you have. 40" maybe?

Marshall,
a great way to train stones other than traditional ways is to go head to head with one stone each. that way if someone is a lightweight or can't do as heavy a stone it evens the playing field a bit. I did this with my younger brother a few times and it forces you to push yourself. just load one stone to a certain height as many times as possible for a certain amount of time. I did a 320 stone ( i know not that heavy) and my brother did a 275 stone and we went for max reps in 5 minutes. let me tell you it sucked. felt like throwing up for half an hour afterwards. finsihed at 18 reps and my brother beat me with 20. little f'er. good conditioning as well.

I would suggest something for 10 reps max though not that you need the stone training.

Jason,
That is awesome that you train that way!!! I have been trying to get the word out about that for a while now...I love doing that type of stone training...well except for the sickness afterwards...that is how I was training when I did 385x10 ( I think it took about 3.5mins) but of course Jake did 330x18 in the same time! So maybe try the 400x10 in under 5mins?
Eric- Lowest Platform? 55in it is!
