I've been looking for some peeps to train with out here and have had some luck. Ryan Kennelly and a bunch of other big powerlifter guys train at one of the gyms I go to here. I've also heard thought the grapevine about this this wicked huge SM named Brian who lives near me (in either Richland or West Richland) has a nice SM setup at his place and is also looking for some peeps to train with. I thought I knew the few SM out in this area, but I have no clue who this guy is.

In any event, this guy works the swing at some railroad around here, has arm tat sleeves and is a HW. It's a shot in the dark, but does anybody know who he is or how to get in touch with him? Thx.

Shoot, once word gets out that The Ryan is in the Tri Cities area, they will find YOU!!

Seriously, maybe Eric Johnson knows.....I am pretty sure he is a Tri Cities strongman....

also....check out results for past Behemoths and Boats comps up that way...used to be a contest in Kennewick ? along w/ the unlimited boat races.... man...that was one white trash weekend......

Hope the move went well (moving sucks big time).

see ya

Ryan,

I looked around: it looks like the guy you want is Bryan Beaune. Try that name.

Thanks Mark. I'll look him up.

One of the guys at Lifequest mentioned that they were putting on the the B&B (or some kind of strongman contest) contest again this year during the boat thing they do here. Should be a good time; probably in a Pappy Wishbone sort of way :).

Eric- I've been kicking my ass trying to catch back up. I'm wicked sore. It's crazy what a few weeks off will do to you. BTW, that gym in Richland you told me about- it's called Smitty's Gym. It has to be one of the most wicked old school iron houses I've ever been in. You should check it out. Since they're closer to where we're building I've been hitting Broadmoor and the Kennewick Lifequest. Lots of bad asses at the Kenne LQ. Really surprised me. First time I'm there, I walked in there and the first thing I see is this 200# kid raw squatting 6-something off an open rack. They've also got some strongman stuff there. Pretty cool. Kennelly comes in on Sundays and brings his own "special" bar. He's like a pseudo-celebrity here. Kind of funny. A lot of other guys whose faces I recognize train there also (I'm not into PL; don't know many names).

Mark-

Where did you get the info? Everything I'm finding puts Beaune in the midwest, not WA.

Ryan,

I had two names written down, and, since I had a fifty fifty shot, I typed the wrong one of course.

Brian Rehberg is a name that pops up for strongman in the Tri Cities area. Sorry about that.....I have have head up ass disease sometimes.

I had heard that Smitty's was good, but just never checked it out, I am not a big fan of public gyms and when I started lifting a few years ago I new that if I had to drive to a gym then it was an excuse for me not to go, so started building up my home gym, no excuses that way :D.

How many SM from Richland named Brian could there be?

It might be him. The guy I heard about works out at Broadmoor mid day during the week, though; not in Iraq. Eh, whatever. If we cross paths we cross paths.

I've got one too, but I need to change the scenery every now and then.

Ryan,
Its probably Brian Rehberg, and he is supposed to be in town there.

Sarge was out there last month working out with him at LifeQuest. Sarge was out there hunting, and caught a workout with him. I know that for a fact.

I got no contact info though...will try to ask Sarge.

HIGA.

Jay-
My wife was offered a nice promotion here, we had a ton of equity in our place in Aberdeen and because the market is still inexpensive (but growing rapidly) here I had an opportunity to build my wife the new house she's always wanted in really nice area w/ better schools, shopping etc. I like small towns and the W. WA weather, but she was just beating me down with complaints about the area all the damn time. It seemed like a no brainer. Wouldn't have moved here if I didn't at least like it a little though. It is going to be nice to be able to train outdoors year round on a level street/yard. There's too much rain in Aberdeen, like 80" a year, and we lived on top of a hill. All of our outdoor events were done uphill/downhill. Hard when it's dry. Scary when it's wet.

Grant-

I found out today that his name is Brian Hall. Does that name ring a bell for anybody?
