View Full Version : in contest nutrition? and should i warm up at the gym before my contest

my contest is tomorrow and i recently found out it will be 4 hours.... what are some good foods i should bring with me, pretzels, raisins apples etc???
also i was thinking about going to the gym before i head to the contest and do a few warm up sets on the push press and deadlift? bad idea?

Warm up at the contest site, for food to eat during, Gatorade is good to drink But i like apple juice and other juices. Granola bars, mixed nuts,
Basically look for something with protein, high sodium, potassium, and alot of quick acting carbs like fructose and sucrose.

anything you can keep down.
And I would NOT warm up prior to the event. You never REALLY know what time it'll start
