On Saturday I was in Malbork. It was my first strongman competition. :BP:
In my opinion Jesse was the biggest star and showman that day. Polish fans very like him. He is very nice person and very strong and good player. I made photo with Jesse, but unfortunetly I have not send it to this page, because I had a problem with my camera :(
Jessie made a great show with his t-shirts and muscles, but I am wrong, because he did not throw his t-shirt to me :( Jesse is young player and I think that in the future he will one of the most strongast man on the world. In Malbork won Pudzian, but he is not from this planet, I know that Pudzian comes from space. Nowodays, Pudzian is the best in this sport, but Jesse is the biggest star with a wonderful contact with public.
Best wishes from all fans in Poland !!!!

Finally made it back after a long day of delayed and changed flights.
I had a blast competing in Poland. The Poles really know how to put on a contest. Also had a great time hanging out with Odd and Jesse in Warsaw for a couple days after the contest.
I am happy to have placed in top eight. I was disappointed with my stones and tire, but had my best day ever on yoke and farmer's.
Jesse was solid all day and made the log medley (125, 135, 150, 160) look easy as hell.

Bejro and Krzyzak:
I totally agree with the both of you. Jesse is one the nicest, most genuine professional athletes today. He's certainly the nicest I've ever met. My brother and I met him at a contest in Essington PA, and he went out of his way to answer our questions and we had a nice talk with him. He is a good person and a good Strongman, just like the both of you said. Mariuz has won by a little bit , but Jesse is up and coming and already has come so close to Mariuz in the contests. On top of that , I think he has more raw stone lifting power. Jesse has the largest skeletal structure out of the Strongmen, and the potential to be the best at that sport. Certainly already in the top 2. If anyone has the potential to beat Mariuz right now, I think it would be Jesse.
P.S. Respect to Mariuz's accomplishments, though, and to your country.

haha OK, while I certainly apreciate the compliments (I'm blushing), let me straighten out a few things... I don't have the largest bone structure, you should see me standing next to Phil Phister, Zavicus, etc. I have placed well in the super series because many top names were not present. Marius DOMINATED in Poland. Super man could not have beat him. Wait till you see the ESPN show... You won't beleive his power, it's unbeleivable!!! Awesome to witness. Will I ever be as strong as him or stronger? Will I ever beat him? Let's just say if it doesn't happen it won't be for lack of effort. I shall contunue to train hard and eat right. We'll see what happens...
stay strong!

...coming from a guy who rips his shirt off and throws a most muscular after getting a good bunny loop when tying his shoes-LOL. Just kidding Jesse. I think you are being too modest. You have been doing unfreaking belivable and I hope you realize that. I sincerely believe you will be in the #1 slot at WSM one day (hopefully this year). Keep kicking ass bro! You've definately got a believer right here. (and obviously I'm not the only one).

........Totally forgot about Phil Phister. He does have a large skeletal structure. I should have remembered him, though, it's just I am not as familiar with the ins and outs of Strongman as you would be.
I have seen him before, just not as much as Zavicas, Mariuz and Samuelsson on ESPN. I guess they play the ones with Magnus Ver Magnusson from 95 - 97ish alot, and the ones from 2001 and on alot. I wish they would play WSM more lately, though.
I think this forum believes in your huge potential to win Strongman :IMHO:

I can see the potential!! I live with him and I know what it takes to be the #1 Super-Series American!! We/He eat sleep breathe bleed (literally) and sweat Strongman.. If Jesse's not in the gym he's in the kitchen, if not in the kitchnen then he's on the computer talking training, if he's not on the computer then he's competing(not to mention husband and father duties plus work and school).. I can honstly say that no one desereves to win WSM more then him!! I think it is just a matter of time!!!

Jesse,
You were right about superman not being able to beat Mariusz in poland. Mariusz was on fire! He looks faster than I've ever seen him. Great job in trying to keep up. I truly believe it's only a matter of time until you're finishing first and cheering him on!

Congrats Jesse and Dave!! I can see an American WSM in the next couple of years and Jesse is leading the way. When I first saw Jesse in the WSM years ago, I didn't think there was anyway you would ever win (just being honest). You, at the time, looked far to thin to really compete (had that classic Defensive end body). But after the little time off, DAMN, you've put on nothing but muscle and have gotten bigger, faster, and stronger. And the frequency of you competing puts you in a great position to win the big one soon!! Great showing in Poland.
Dave, you are a dark-horse. I think eventually everyone is going to wonder where the hell you came from. Great job!!
You are both inspirations!
