ESPN at noon (eastern time I believe, so 9am for anybody on west coast).

Watch monsters of gluttony devour hot dogs as fast as possible, laughing in the face of the USDA and their food pyramid.

Not sure if Kobayashi is showing or not, but either way it should be a good show.

If you don't watch, you're clearly a communist who hates America.

i heard that chestnut kid ate 58 hot dogs at a qualifier and ppl think the reason why Kobiashi is questionable is because he is scared

???

Chestnut ate 59.5 at a qualifier. Kobayashi's previous best was 53.75. So Kobayashi has reason to be scared. But also, he's never really been pushed to his max before, so his max could be higher than anyone knows. Impossible to say. It would be lame if Kobe is just making up or exaggerating this jaw problem so if he loses, he can blame that.

Joey is going to whoop him regardless of the alleged jaw disorder. Only 45 more for you or I and we can push Joey. Just think, Pat's 46 was impressive and Joey beat that by almost as much as either of us ate. For those other than Kevin.....Kevin and I competed in the Las Vegas qualifier. We both got 14. 59 1/2 HDBs is unimaginable

Yeah; for real. I could sit down and casually (i.e w/ tasty condiments and not dunking) probably 25 dogs or so. But 59 1/2 with soggy buns that quickly? Inhuman.

Just like Team USA beat the World last weekend, Joey Chesnut is going to Bring the coveted MUSTARD BELT home to the USA!

Joey!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, Koby should've been DQ'ed, not allowed to come in second. Either way, the belt comes back to the USA

That was a very, very cool event. I never thought I would watch for all 12 minutes but I was on the edge of my seat. I'm glad they didnt dq kobayashi tho, that wouldn't've seemed right

66 dogs. Absolutely amazing. Kobayashi was definitely BSing the "injury" to throw Chestnut off. You don't set a +9.5 PR with a bum jaw.

Wow. That was a sweet contest.

As far as Kobayashi's reversal, the rules say he should have been disqualified for sure. But it would have been a lot worse had he done it on dog 50 or something instead of right at the very end. And it would have been outrageous if he reversed and they tried to declare him the winner. It's definitely an unfair double standard because anybody except Kobayashi would have been instantly disqualified. However, I think he's earned the right to a double standard. He's freaking Kobayashi!

Anyway; congrats to Joey. He's gotta be on top of the world right now. That or lying in bed going "owwwwww; why won't the pain stop??!"

I have a questin for you MLE people, when they get done with a contest and the results are done, do they usually go puke it up or do they let the body try and digest all that crap?

It depends on the individual. Most say they let it digest, but I'd bet a few puke it up. I don't eat enough for it to be a problem letting it digest, yet.
