Once a year Julie & I like to hold a Rolling Thunder contest and this year since the WABDL benchpress & deadlift Nationals are in town we decided to hold it Friday night August 5th so anyone that may be in town for the WABDL meet can come try out their grip strength, eat pizza and BS about lifting. We will also have some of the grippers there for people to try and get on the NW list. It's kind of an informal gathering we like to do. Anyone near Portland that weekend feel free to come by.

We are pleased to announce that Ironmind has come aboard as our sponsor. Also, Ryan Kennelly & Kara Bohigian are going to be there along with some folks coming all the way from California to compete. Morgan Guthner (only one from Oregon to officially close the Captains of Crush # 3 gripper) will be competing. This is everyone's chance to come ask the strength experts about their training routines. It's going to be a fun night!

If you are coming into Portland via I-5 North, you need to get on I-84 East. This interchange happens in the middle of the Marquam bridge.
Once on I-84 East, watch for the 39th Ave exit.
Take the 39th ave exit and get in the right hand lane so you can turn right onto 39th ave.
Stay on 39th ave (you are going south) until you reach Belmont St. You will pass Glisan and Burnside, and then Belmont is a little ways beyond.
Turn right on Belmont. Go to 34th and Belmont and look for a parking spot. Pizza place is on the left. Parking can suck, but it will be worth it. This contest is gonna rock!
