Big update for the First Annual Paxton Power Gym Strongman/ Women Contest.

Hello everyone,

Due to a high demand we will be adding an OPEN Womens division to the contest. Weights are posted on our website at www.paxtonpowergym.com.

We are also changing a few things so here they are:

The yoke for the medley will be replaced with 2 kegs that will be carried one at a time 25 feet each. The tire for the HW men will now be 800 lbs

The kegs will be 100 and 150 for the Women, Tire 500 lbs.
150 and 175 for the LW Men, Tire 650 lbs
175 and 225 for the HW Men, Tire 800 Lbs.

The stones will not be carried. They will be in front of the platforms.

The stones will be changed to the following:

100, 145, 155, 180 for the Women

180, 215, 215, 240 for the LW Men

215, 215, 240, 285 for the HW Men

We made these changes for safety purposes.

This contest will be held outdoors on grass so wear appropriate shoes.

We will also be capping the contest at 40 athletes so that we can finish in a decent amount of time so get your apps in early.

The start time of the show will now be 11:00 AM and the weigh-in rules meeting will be at 9:30 AM on the same day.

There will be no food sold at the contest so make sure to bring what you need.

Lance over at www.brutestrength.com is sponsoring the contest by donating some
great equipment for giveaways.

This will be your last chance to qualify for the Mens Nationals so dont miss out.

You should have left the tire at 680. Will the tire have a good grip on it?

Most say that the 650 is too light for the HW plus there would very little difference between the divisions if I left it that way.

The 800 has a fairly good grip and is compact because it has a steel center. I have had guys under 200 flip it so it should not be a problem.

You're about an hour and 10 minutes from me. I figured I would drop off my daughter at the daycare at my wife's work around 8-8:30 and I could be there by 9:30-10am this Saturday.

Nathan ,
I may be moving back to Massachusetts to take a job working in a hospital in Boston. If I do I will need to find a good gym to join. What are you fees to join the gym? What do you say to adding a 300 lb atlas stone to that list for the strongman event.

.....the weigh ins will start?
The biceps pretty good the calf is still a bit sore. I may have to cut weight to make 231 so I'd like to weigh in early so I can have time to hydrate before the show.
Thanks,
Mike

The entry form says 9:30. If you want to come around as early as 8:30 to weigh in that would be fine also.
