Okay, some good news finally for an update to my post from July - went through the whole battery of tests on my eye today (throwing up in the middle of it from a reaction to the fluorescent dye injection...) and the good news is that the treatments they did seem to be doing the trick. I'm apparently always going to be at risk for more blindness due to my condition, but I've been given the green light to start training again since I'm at a low risk of any issues that could be brought on by lifting due to the damage control that's happened with treatments. I may have a few slow points down the line again if I have to get future treatments, but for now, I' just happy to be able to get back to training and to have had good news that I'm not going to go any more blind for at least a little while :D
Thanks to everyone for the prayers and kind thoughts - it's been a long, rough month, but I couldn't be happier to know that things are working out for the best with my eye!
