McPherson Scottish Festival and Strongman Comp

Is anyone from here going to this contest? It is in McPherson, KS on 9/25/05. My training partner Shawn and I should be there. Maybe Chan too. The events look like fun - not heavy and not as endurance-related as the last two comps I've done.

I've been thinking about it. I've talked to Tulley about it, and it should be a great show. It just depends on some family stuff that week whether or not I head down.

Hey Scott - I don't want to start a flood of questions for you, but I'm going to ask anyways! :D What size log are you guys using for the log press for max?

I just spoke with our third man Chan and he's down for the contest too, so there should be at least three of us at the comp! It would be cool to meet you in person Shawn, as well as Scott and everyone else there.

Hello to all,

We are going to cap the entries for the McPherson Strongman at 25 just to be sure we can get it all done in the time we have alloted, here is our confirmed athletes so far and we are starting to get lots emails and inquiries. Entries need to be in by the 17th to get a meet shirt and festival passes. If this is a problem get with us before that date so we can take care of you.

If I get the go-ahead from Chan and Shawn that they want to drive straight through on the 8.5 hour trip (rather than stay over in Amarillo) then I'll be throwing on Saturday too. I've never tossed a sheaf before so it should be interesting.
